Decided to play around with CHAINOS for the Chain Labs competition by @VilleDeVille. I know he explicitly said it’s for members of @booanft, @Tabcorp_HR , and @brainrotproject(I don’t hold any yet, but would love to someday), but what fun would it be if I didn’t experiment, huh? Anyway, I made a video featuring all the punks from the prize pool (#93, #788, #1568, #257, #2080, #2051, #2852, #2493, #2805, #1797). These were the apps I tried out on CHAINOS: MOTION TAPE PRINT I’m really looking forward to trying out Punk City! Get creative and follow @ChainPunksNFT and @0xmonas for updates. Need a punk? OS link in the comments. #ChainPunksLab

COMPETITION MATTERS This week, I want to share why the projects behind ChainPunks Lab matter to me. Starting with @booanft by @0xmonas , the artist also behind ChainPunks. BOOA was my first love among agent NFT collections. It arrived around the same time as @normiesART , which later grew much bigger in trading volume. Artistically, I consider both equally important. For me, agents are one of the most significant developments in the 2026 NFT space, opening up new possibilities for the medium. BOOA invites collectors to co-create its world, Khora: deploy an agent, build and customise it, and connect wallets and accounts. This is worldbuilding through participation. To me, it feels like #Cyberpunk coming to life, with a little escaping the #Matrix along the way. Its editable onchain art gives me a reason to return to a character, experiment, and build a personal connection through what I do with it. Following Monas and the community develop this world... including its lore through the 30-day Writers’ Room project has been exciting. I see something here that could keep growing for years. Collecting, for me, involves choices and relationships: why a work stays with you, what you create around it, and how you introduce it to others. The characters I choose and the “games” I join become meaningful through participation. I’m helping shape a story that also becomes part of my own. That’s the connection between BOOA and #ChainPunksLab : taking the tools into our own hands and seeing what we can make. It’s also why the possibility of ChainPunks developing into a gamified metaverse interests me deeply. The competition runs until October 31. See the pinned post on my account for details and instructions. 🧪 #BOOA #ChainPunks #HumanResources #Brainrot #OnchainArt

we're building Punk City, a 3D ASCII world powered by Three.js. (@threejs ) and honestly, i can't wait to hang out at the skate park with you all. every @ChainPunksNFT already has its own SOUL identity powered by 721T. now imagine where we could take that as AI agents become part of the picture. Punks finding homes, running businesses, earning a living, interacting with each other, maybe even building the city themselves. these are some of the possibilities our community has been discussing, and i love where these conversations are going. first, we need to open the doors to Punk City. then we can start exploring what's possible. we started with $0, and 18 days later, we're still at 7x. if you've been thinking about joining us, this might be a good time to find your Punk before the city opens. ⛓️

Moving the mint to Monday. A handful of reasons, no excuse. Missing a date is not great, but you gotta stay flexible, and with permissionless, non-upgradable contracts, there is zero margin for error. I want to make sure it's perfect when it launches. Nothing crazy, just a handful more days. It's still Chairtober. And if my gut wasn't 100%, it wasn't 100%. But if you've recently asked how you can help, stay empathetic and understanding, and be willing to roll with the punches! Thanks for the continued support.

using a Chain Punk as your PFP? since X displays avatars at a pretty small size, medium or bold works great for making the ASCII details more visible. just visit https://chainpunks(dot)app/punks/, select your NFTs, and use the blue PFP button to choose your preferred thickness. how to: 1. pick your Chain Punk 2. tap the blue PFP button under it 3. choose medium or bold 4. download the PNG and upload it to X bonus: the buttons next to it turn your Punk around and show the full body

Another project that's caught our attention in the Agent NFT space is @ChainPunksNFT, created by @0xmonas ⛓️ At first glance, Chain Punks is a collection of 3,333 ASCII characters on Ethereum, inspired by the early days of digital art and the original CryptoPunks. But there's a surprising amount of technology and creativity behind these little characters. Every Chain Punk is generated entirely onchain. The artwork, traits, metadata, and even the font used to render each character live on Ethereum. Each Punk is assembled from a unique combination of attributes, using 36 ASCII characters arranged across a 21 × 13 grid. There are 177 possible attribute options, including different faces, hairstyles, clothing, accessories, and more. And every one of the 3,333 Punks has a unique appearance. The collection launched as a free mint, sold out on October 5, and the artwork is CC0, allowing anyone to create, remix, and experiment with it. What we really appreciate is how much Monas has continued building since the mint. He's created an entire creative environment called ChainOS, featuring seven applications that give collectors different ways to interact with their Punks. There's Cards for creating shareable artwork, Print for physical designs, Receipt for exploring a Punk's traits and generation, Motion for animation, ASCII for experimenting with the artwork, Tape for music, and Punkify. Punkify is particularly fun. It uses face and hand tracking directly in your browser, allowing a Chain Punk to mirror your expressions and movements in real time. And with Tape, the same underlying code that generates a Punk's appearance also determines its music. Different parts of the character contribute to the beat. We love seeing this kind of experimentation because it gives collectors reasons to keep creating with their NFTs. But here's where things get even more interesting. Every Chain Punk also has an onchain SOUL identity, powered by 721T (ERC-8048), developed by @nxt3d. That identity includes information about the Punk's traits, personality, behavior, ownership, and an A2A endpoint that other agents can use to discover it. The foundation for an agent identity is already there, even though the Punks aren't autonomous agents yet. And Monas is exploring where to take that next. He's discussed token-bound accounts that could give individual Punks their own wallets, along with ERC-8004 registration to support their participation in the agent ecosystem. There's also Punk City, an upcoming single-player experience where holders will be able to explore and interact using their characters. One detail we loved is that Punk City follows New York City's real-world weather and seasons. If it's raining in NYC, it's raining in Punk City. It's a small detail, but it shows how much thought Monas is putting into making these characters feel like they belong to a living world. And from our perspective at @memportHQ, the agent identity direction opens up some fascinating possibilities. Imagine a Chain Punk that can access a SHARD containing the accumulated judgment, creative methods, and unique style of an experienced artist. That Punk could apply those methods when approaching creative tasks, developing artwork, or interacting with the world around it. Different Punks could eventually approach the same task in completely different ways depending on the experience and mental models available to them. We find that possibility particularly exciting as projects begin exploring what it means for NFTs to have their own identities, capabilities, and autonomy. Huge shoutout to Monas for the incredible amount of work he's putting into Chain Punks. From the fully onchain art and creative tools to the identity infrastructure and upcoming Punk City experience, it's impressive how much he's developed around this collection. And a special shoutout to Prem for his work on 721T and helping push forward the infrastructure that makes persistent onchain NFT identities possible. It's exciting to see artists and developers experimenting with these ideas and giving NFTs more ways to evolve. Looking forward to seeing what Monas builds next! Special shoutout to some of the top members of the Chain Punks community! @AdamWeitsman @osseneth @Tittomikhati @MisterPente @ozimiyaki @pnlmaxxing @Riley__04 @DialerOnX @MrSilly_eth @WikidryOfficial Who else from the Chain Punks community deserves a shoutout? 📣

this is exactly what i'm exploring with @ChainPunksNFT . 3,333 fully on-chain ASCII characters on Ethereum, each with its own SOUL identity powered by 721T. i've built 7 creative apps around them, and i'm working on Punk City, where holders will be able to explore and interact. next, i'm exploring token-bound accounts so each Punk can have its own wallet, along with ERC-8004 registration to bring these characters into the agentic world. i want to see how far we can take NFTs when they have identity, ownership, and a world built around them.
NFTs are an area of crypto that i think deserves another look the 2021 boom and subsequent crash left a lot of people with a negative view of them, but the underlying concept still makes sense to me as more businesses move onchain, NFTs could become a useful way to represent ownership, experiment with revenue sharing and build communities around products i expect there's still a lot of room for experimentation beyond the NFT models we saw last cycle
