A newborn baby, just hours old, April Jones was abandoned in a London phone box with her umbilical cord still attached. Joe Campbell found her in the middle of the night in April 1994 and came to her rescue.
In 2016, we met them both on Good Morning Britain when they were finally reunited after spending years searching for each other.
Now, three decades on, they have formed an unbreakable bond. April says Joe has become like a dad to her, and she wants to pay him back for effectively saving her life

Racist Frito-Lay did not care that a Black worker was electrocuted; because he was Black, Frito-Lay denied him medical care, and he was surveilled by the company to stop his workers' compensation

King College Hospital…
It’s gonna be a LONG day for you lot.
My friend is back in hospital right now and looks like her stitches have opened hence the agony she’s still in at the moment.

By the time a C section was considered. It was too late so had to have a forceps delivery.
She’s just returned to the hospital in agony to find out her stitches are open.

My friend nearly died giving birth at Kings College Hospital during a traumatic birth a few days ago. Labour for 30 hours, lost over 4 litres of blood. Her baby’s face left cut and badly swollen (still not sure if his vision in one eye has been permanently damaged). She was cut open and has been distraught. She said she had been in agony but it was dismissed with one staff member saying ‘it can’t be that bad’.
I can’t tell you how angry I am at how her and her family were treated.

What if the best way to challenge Africa’s stereotypes is to laugh at them?
Charity Ekezie has built an online audience by using humour to push back against the assumptions people make about Africa, answering stereotypical questions with deliberately opposite responses.

A Marion County (Florida) Sheriff's Deputy saw a couple sitting in their car, on their own property, where they were building a new "barndominium" in the middle of a large field behind their home.
The deputy pulled onto the property, got out of his police cruiser, approaching the couple, who were sitting in their car eating a meal, as it was raining.
There had been no report of criminal activity. The deputy just thought they looked suspicious and that they could be trespassing…

They told Édith Piaf she was finished. So she sang “I regret nothing.” and gave a performance that not only was iconic but would go on to live in history forever.
In December 1960 she was exhausted, gravely ill, and under doctors’ orders to stay off the stage.
The Olympia was facing bankruptcy. Most people thought her career was already over.
She walked out anyway.
A few weeks earlier Charles Dumont and Michel Vaucaire had brought her a new song: Non, je ne regrette rien.
She heard it once and claimed it as her own no sentiment, no softness, only a driving march and absolute moral force.
Her posture was famously minimal she stood standing motionless in her simple black dress, letting her hands and voice carry the entire drama. She did not perform the song. She inhabited it.
That night she saved a theatre and turned a personal reckoning with loss into one of the century’s great statements of endurance.
Frail in body, inexhaustible in spirit, she remains one of the most iconic singers the 20th century ever produced.
The Little Sparrow did not fly away.
She simply refused to land.
