Then came the influencer campaign; pro-Israel influencers were paid roughly $7,000 per post. Yet public support for Israel’s agenda is at historic lows. The goal was to cement one official narrative of October 7: Hamas launched a surprise attack, Israeli intelligence had no advance knowledge, and Israel therefore had a free hand to commit atrocities across the region. But that narrative is falling apart. More Americans are seeing through Israel’s lies and recognizing the reach of its influence over U.S. politics. It took more than 50 years for the majority of Americans to question the JFK assassination narrative. It took 25 years after 9/11, five years after COVID, and only three years after October 7.
