Housing targets. Gambling harms. Emergency funding.
Our MPPs asked ministers to explain the numbers — and whether the government’s plans actually match the problems Ontarians are facing.

Ontarians are working harder than ever and still struggling to get ahead. Under Doug Ford, costs keep climbing while families and small businesses are left to fend for themselves.
It doesn’t have to be this way and I have a plan for what’s next.
Strengthening our economy, supporting good jobs, and making sure that economic growth improves the lives of people and communities across Ontario: that’s an economy with heart.

Premier Ford spent more on advertising than actually providing support for tariff impacted business through the “Protect Ontario” Account.
It took Prime Minister Carney to get Premier Ford to step up while Ontario jobs are on the line.
Real action protects Ontario, not taxpayer-funded slogans, signs and ads.

Not all disabilities are visible, but that doesn’t make them any less real. 💙
This Invisible Disabilities Week, we recognize those living with conditions such as chronic pain, multiple sclerosis, and mental health challenges.
Greater understanding and empathy help build more inclusive communities where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported.

Happy Small Business Week!
I celebrated with the @APBoardofTrade at their Business Excellence Awards, recognizing the incredible businesses that strengthen our community. These businesses create jobs, support families, and keep our economy moving.
This Small Business Week, let’s show our appreciation by shopping local, supporting our favourite small businesses, and thanking the people who make our community stronger!

The federal government is stepping up the battle with Stelco owner Cleveland Cliff, triggering a process that could lead to fines or forced divesture.

The Ford government is not meeting the housing needs of Ontarians.
As leader I will push for: Fourplexes as-of-right across Ontario; Cutting red tape that slows building; A dedicated Ontario Co-op Housing Program; And waiving development charges for projects with at least 20% affordable units, with the province repaying municipalities for the lost revenue.

We’re saddened to learn of the passing of Mac Bain, a longtime public servant and advocate for Northern Ontario.
From his years serving North Bay to his work as Executive Director of FONOM, Mac dedicated decades to strengthening municipalities and making sure Northern communities had a strong voice.
Mac was also a familiar and valued presence to many Ontario Liberals over the years.
Our thoughts are with his family, friends, colleagues, and everyone across Northern Ontario who knew and worked with him.
October is Islamic Heritage Month!
It was wonderful joining @MwDurham for their 3rd Annual Golden Age IHM celebration, an opportunity to recognize the history, identity, and contributions of Canadian Muslims.
Thank you to Kubra, Farzana and everyone at Muslim Women of Durham Region for all the work you do in building a more inclusive Ontario, and Durham Region.

Vibrant Rang Ratri brought together residents and families from across the region for an evening of music, dance, and cultural celebration during Navaratri.
Events like these provide opportunities to share traditions, strengthen community connections, and showcase the diverse cultural fabric that enriches #Ajax and #DurhamRegion.
I welcomed the Ontario Liberal Critic for Homelessness @LFairclo to Ajax as she travels the province. We walked downtown Ajax and spoke to residents and business owners so she could see first hand the homelessness challenge that our community is managing.
So much more needs to happen at the provincial level and we are pushing Premier Ford’s PC government to help our community and municipalities across Ontario. Solutions are within reach with focus and action. A good step would have been the Homelessness Ends with Housing Act but the PCs voted it down. We will continue advocating for practical solutions to end homelessness that will save taxpayers money in the long run.
The Durham Outreach Multicultural Association and Pickering Village United Church hosted a fundraising concert featuring the Choral Expressions Choir, Forest Creek Pathway Steel Orchestra, and other talented performers!
Thank you to Durham Outreach Multicultural Association, Pickering Village United Church, the performers, and community members who made this special evening possible and continue to invest in the future of our students.

It was wonderful celebrating Navaratri Garba with the Hindu Community Centre of Durham!
Navaratri is a beautiful celebration of faith, culture, and tradition. It was great to the community together to celebrate.
Happy Navaratri! ✨

So heartbreaking to hear the news from CFB Wainwright. My thoughts and love are with everyone affected. Families, friends, colleagues, first responders. My thanks for the actions of all the brave women and men who do some of the hardest work imaginable.
It was a pleasure to visit Baitul Mahdi Mosque for their Community Open House and spend time with neighbours.
Gatherings like these help strengthen connections, and build understanding across our community.
Thank you to Hafeez and the organizers for the warm welcome and for bringing people together!
