In August, Battery Electric vehicles outsold both petrol and diesel in Australia for the first time. Here's why.

It always amazes me how well FSD negotiates oncoming traffic on narrow roads

I feel like I've been pretty hard on FSD lately, so here's a chat about the good things as FSD flawlessly cruises through Perth's beautiful Swan Valley

Feeling the FOMO for Grok Bot but $52/month for premium is tough. I don't code, I don't run my own business, just making content here and YouTube. What do you all use it for? Sell it to me.

Super impressive behaviour from FSD here: It stops before the flooded water blocking the way to my destination, then reverses into a suitable parking spot nearby. Really glad & impressed that it chose to stop and park rather than push through. Well done @TeslaSI

Here's the full video from my Mad Max drive yesterday. This drive had a mix of suburban, highways, rural and 110 km/h roads. Overall I'm pretty happy with how Mad Max drives, it drive much like I do. Just gotta watch those overtake attempts!

FSD v14 has FINALLY fixed the issue I was having on single-lane roads! There’s only one lane of asphalt for both directions, so you have to dip a wheel onto the dirt when someone comes the other way. V13 would stick to the asphalt. Here, v14 actually moves over onto the dirt, lets the car past and then comes straight back onto the road. So glad to see this has ben fixed!

I agree, well said
There are a lot of thoughts I want to share about @Tesla and @TeslaSI after this recent earnings call. Ashok @aelluswamy once again was the steady voice if you knew how to listen to what he said. Phil Duan @pduan has said the same things to me recently at the Cybercab Launch and other events. Listen carefully to what they say. FSD v15 with the huge increase in parameter count is the current plan and new bench mark they are betting on for functionality improvement. There is a set of new functions they are talking about that will be introduced in this new version that they hope will enable unsupervised at scale within the geofenced areas. It was mentioned in the earnings call as, additional opertating hours, high speed roads, and marginal weather conditionss. Ashok spoke specifically about one of the biggest new functionalities. New mapping and navigation learning behavior that will remove the dependency on third party maps. This is huge, and hopefully works well as navigation, lane selection, and poorly mapped speed zones, school zones, and local mapping details are a pain point on the current implementation. We have been here before, v12 solved, v13 solved, v14 solved, .. etc. I will be the first one to say.. this problem is never solved. We will never be happy with a single version and say its done. So take that mindset and throw it away. It is always an incremental improvement to continue and solve the unsupervised driving problem. Without at doubt, I have the most confidence in the leadership and members of the @TeslaSI team to be the leaders in solving this problem. I would argue that members of this team will probably be poached and asked to lead new teams at other companies and fork this technology into other versions. I hope this happens, both for the individuals and for the benefits it will ultimately bring to all of us driving the vehicles Bravo Zulu to the @TeslaSI team, I support each of you.

Supercut of overtake attempts from my drive on Mad Max yesterday. Some successes, some fails. Definitely be alert if using Mad Max on rural roads. Full length video coming this evening so make sure to follow for that one🙂

Model Y L vs Model 3 FSD V14.3.12 DU Comparison I planned on doing a end to end comparison video, but who wants to watch a 21 min video of me bumbling and driving to Maccas at 4 - 5 am, let alone the 10 min split screen video that this is. If you need something to fall asleep to, you could always try this? It was interesting that the YL wanted to go a bit faster, that's why every now and then there are pauses for it so the footage is sort of aligned. Anyway ... Cybertruck hey? @TeslaAUNZ @TeslaSI
