I am so excited to finally announce my new retrospective podcast focusing on the Attitude Era, with the former head writer of the show himself, Tommy Blacha!
To the wrestling fans that follow me, I would really appreciate if you could retweet the below tweet & a follow.
Tommy Blacha may be known for writing on Conan and co-creating @Dethklok, but he was also the head writer of @WWE during the Attitude Era, taking over for Vince Russo.
He revisits his time with co-host @RobPasbani in a new retrospective podcast, premiering this Monday at Noon!
Shout out to this dude for the sick red on yellow @DeathOfficial shirt. 🤘

Ukrainian veteran Ruslan Knysh is just 20 years old. Still, he continues to defend his country after losing both arms and legs in a Russian drone attack. Today, he is training to become a drone pilot by using a customized chin controller to operate unmanned ground vehicles. abcnews.link/H2WKOYt

If it's a no-holds-barred match and you stab someone, is it technically legal?? We ponder on the latest @TFTAttitudeEra
Mick Foley tells Steve Austin he cannot run Rikishi over again because he will go to jail. But, if running someone over with a car is a criminal matter, why is Rikishi not already in handcuffs? The question hangs in the air for the rest of the segment. Foley’s solution is a no holds barred match at No Mercy, where everything is legal and nobody goes to jail. Tommy’s response: he should have just shot him. The man wants to kill someone with a car and you are offering him a wrestling match.

After Rikishi confessed to running over Steve Austin to dead silence, WWF heads to the Staples Center in LA and somehow has even less of a plan. Tommy Blacha was in that building, and he says the vibe backstage told you everything: more Hollywood agents than ever, Vince at a luncheon with the Radio and Television Society, the XFL on the horizon, and a writing staff with nobody steering the ship.
Before they even get to the show, Rob and Tommy spend a solid chunk of the episode agreeing that Kurt Angle should have been the driver all along, and they make a pretty airtight case. On the show itself, Edge and Christian debut the Conquistadors gimmick at commentary speaking exclusively in broken Spanish, Eddie Guerrero attacks Billy Gunn with a tire iron and steals the IC title, and Foley tells Austin he will go to jail if he runs Rikishi over again. Rob points out that nobody thought to ask why Rikishi did not go to jail.
