The 'MSP Bugged' fake story reminded us of another fake SNP smear that the BBC also picked up and from a BritNat newspaper. 'Memo-gate' was a fake smear that claimed Nicola Sturgeon wanted David Cameron to win the general election. The BBC confronted the SNP leader, just as it confronted John Swinney on Thursday. It later emerged the story had been made up by the then Scottish Secretary Alistair Carmichael.

The thing is, what Offord said about Labour’s attempt to make a grubby deal with Reform isn’t even a new story. Sarwar’s own team was briefing the press about it weeks ago. They’ve been caught.
