The @FCDOGovUK has lifted it's advice against all but essential travel to the #UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi. This is great news for countries who have established robust tourist industries. Summer holidays to many of our favourite middle eastern destinations could be back on🌞
As of today EES has been fully implemented for entry to the Schengen Area for UK travellers. Not all countries are up and running and delays are prevalent in many destinations. Prepare for biometrics registered and continuation of passport stamping. Leave extra time #EES

Closed for over 10 hours, @LGAairport has reopened after the tragic Air Canada Express plane collision with a firefighting truck on landing. Delays and cancellations are expected - passengers advised to check with their #airline.

@qatarairways granted a safe corridor to operate a limited number of flights to #Doha on 08 March from: London (LHR), Paris (CDG), Madrid (MAD), Rome (FCO), Frankfurt (FRA) and Bangkok (BKK). Only head to your departure airport with a confirmed booking
Abu Dhabi #airspace set to tentatively reopen as @etihad resumes a limited schedule to keep destinations. Passengers are urged to await contact and not go to the #airport. Meanwhile @qatarairways has moved operations to Oman in a bid to repatriate passengers

UK Government has announced it will operate it's first rescue flight from the #MiddleEast. 130,000 British nationals have registered their presence in the region. The flight will depart Muscat in Oman in the coming days. Priority will be given to the most vulnerable

Severe disruption across Middle East following airstrikes - Dubai Airport shuts down and regional airspace restricted. Remember if travelling to/from #middleast on a UK/EU #airline you have rights under UK261/EU261. Not applicable if travelling with ME carriers. Check CAA website
A worsening situation in #Cuba as the country runs out of jet fuel. Sanctions against the island nation have forced @AirCanada to suspend operations, @WestJet and @airtransat also cancelling services. @FCDOtravelGovUK advising of power shortages/interuptions to infrastructure
