A lot of men ask what it means to live a life of integrity in a world that constantly pressures you to compromise.
To me, it comes down to one core standard: unfailingly doing the right thing: the big things, the small things, and especially the things when nobody is watching.
Over the last several years, life has tested that standard in ways I never expected. I’m a 57-year-old professional writer, Army combat medic veteran, a devout Christian, and a single father raising two young boys (14 and 12). My oldest son, Cash, is non-verbal Autistic, and being his primary caregiver has been one of the greatest honors and humbling teachers of my life.
I’ve walked through the fire of losing a 24-year marriage and leaving behind the life (and my beloved farm) that we built. But through faith, heavy lifting, and daily discipline, I came out the other side not broken, but stronger, sharper, and more grounded as a father.
I want to start using this account to share real, hard-earned lessons for men—young and old—on:
• Raising sons to be men of honor and duty
• Standing firm in your faith when the storm hits
• Rebuilding physical and spiritual strength after loss
• Leading your family courageously, even when the culture demands compliance
We don't complain. We don't make excuses. We stand up. We build.
If you're a man striving to hold the line for your family and live with quiet strength, you’re in the right place. Glad to have you here.
Halfway through my week with my boys under my roof.
And today was a super busy day taking care of them, grinding at the job, and trying to be the best dad I can be.
It's exhausting.
But I'm grateful that I get 50/50 custody of my boys, and it hurts my heart for all those dads out there who get less but want and need more.
You’re not failing because you’re tired. You’re winning because you keep showing up anyway. Your kids don’t need a perfect dad—they need you. And you’re already enough.
Hold the line, brothers.
Single dads: The grind is real, but so is the legacy you’re building. Every early morning, every hard choice, every quiet moment of love is stacking up into something your kids will carry forever. Keep going.
I'm proud of you.
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” — Philippians 4:13
Dads...especially single dads...that includes the days that feel impossible. You’ve got more strength in you than the grind has power to take. Keep walking. 🙏✝️
Pain, heavy responsibilities, and tough seasons are real. But Revelation 21:4 reminds us where the story ends: no more tears, sorrow, or brokenness.
Biblical hope isn't wishful thinking; it’s a confident posture. Men, as leaders of our homes, we don't let current hardships dictate the atmosphere under our roof.
Keep your eyes fixed on the ultimate promise, kill the bitterness, and bring that future joy, calm, and strength into your home right now. Stand firm, brothers. ✝️
"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain..." — Revelation 21:4
Men, our ultimate hope isn't grounded in current circumstances. Don’t wait for heaven to reflect His peace- start anchoring your household in the kingdom of joy today. ✝️🛡️
A chaotic world requires men who stay watchful, grounded, and unwavering in their principles. Protect your home, lead your community with integrity, and stand firm in faith when turbulence rises across the globe. ✝️🛡️
"Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong." — 1 Corinthians 16:13
Prayers for the people of France and communities everywhere striving to protect their heritage, restore safety to their streets, and preserve the foundation of civil society. 🕊️🏛️
That feeling when you get to the gym at 4:30 in the morning to find that it is closed without any power notification...ugh.
3% battery left, but I think we're going to make it.
What's the lowest you've ever let your battery percentage get to before recharging?
#Tesla
I don't think I've ever run my battery down to 5% before. Makes me a little nervous but in #Tesla I trust.
I genuinely cannot imagine sitting inside watching other men play sports on a beautiful day like today when you could be outside being active yourself and competing.

I also found this sign out on the disc golf course today... But I'm an outlaw so totally disregarded it
Found out on the disc golf course while playing today.
I left it there for the next person who needed to hear this message
Men of Faith. Men of strength. Men of Honor.
The world needs you now more than ever.
That's it. That's the message. ✝️
