Thank you all so much for two years of Robby Reviews! I have an exciting update.
Going forward, I'm changing my page name to MetalcoreDad. My Robby Reviews website will still be up, but I feel like the branding of MetalcoreDad frees me up to try new things.
What are your top 4 #ChristianMetal albums? #CCMTwitter
(I know there might be some controversy surrounding the ABR choice but I think it fits. Also, the latest WOA or Phinehas albums could be substituted for these picks too.)
Saw @COATband a few weeks ago and they shared that they wanted two things from us:
1. To dance with them
2. To smile with them
It was such a fun show & they did a great job. Also, the vocalists family was there & you could tell that he was getting a bit choked up on some songs.
Seriously, I cannot get enough of these three albums. All are contenders for top 10 of 2023.
Friday graced us w/ 3 epic albums
TesseracT “War of Being” - groove-laden prog metal w/ incredible musicianship & vocals
War of Ages “Dominion” - Thrashy 00’s style metalcore busting w/ gnarly riffs
Resolve “Human” - pristine modern post-hardcore/metalcore w/ great songwriting
So pumped for new Resolve, War of Ages, and TesseracT!
Probably the most accurate thing I’ve seen on the internet in months. #Slipknot

Mission Impossible: A Thread
Rewatching the Mission Impossible movies and having a blast doing so. As I’m watching them I’ve been rating them.
Quality 3/5
Enjoyment 4/5
Total 7/10
M:I-5 Rogue Nation continues everything great about M:I. But that’s also the problem, it isn’t different enough. Cruise keeps upping the ante with his stunts & action, but it feels very similar to M:I-4 narratively, visually, and emotionally.
