Antho is hacked. No way someone in Clare is driving around in that to training given the cost of mileage. A county player would be losing โฌ6k a year in diesel FFS (not that old lads in Council or County Boards are aware: "high costs=no deposit = no homes= off to Oz = no kids").

That pint wouldnโt have made it to the table in Tipp.
An interesting nugget; that highly intelligent people find solutions.
Irelandโs housing, energy & health crisis are caused by local & regional bodies and national councillors & civil servants that clearly are not intelligent
OpenAIโs @sama joined me at the pub (and had his first Guinness) to discuss the PHP exploit, math weekend at OpenAI, agent swarms, and how he thinks AI leads to deflation.
Huge increase in the housing high flyers as they go up nearly 40% year on year.
If all LEA's had copied the top 15 LEA's who are already delivery in excess of @JamesBrowneTD 83,000 target (undermined by LA's, Councillors & OPR), the country is on >100,000 new homes a year.
Housing is not the focus of the presidency and the rollout of the EU affordable housing plan?
Wow.
Itโs 100 years to get a home in Clare or Waterford but no โplan/ policyโ mentions either community housing, energy or net zero bills or stepping down energy costs
@whytebarry
๐ฎ๐ช๐ช๐บ Speaking in Luxembourg with @timmydooleytd ahead of the Energy Council.
We can deliver secure, sustainable and affordable energy by taking decisive steps to accelerate electrification, and deepen grid interconnection โ this is the focus of the Irish Presidency.
Get rid of the whole first team & anyone above 21. Start afresh and have the academy & development squad for 3 years. Culture needs cleaning out.
Bring in the academy team, Beckham, Keane and buy out the shareholders by players and fans.
Planning in the UK and the resultant policy; making most poor and the young poorer from overcentralisation and โmarket led national planning.โ
Right.
A national plan to fail that Deptโs and councillors follow blindly in Ireland.
Next 10 years; โplan to be like the UK.โ
Super stuff here.
Just look at how the councillors / council exec donโt measure the tax nor the income coming in the budget or new county plans.
Itโs as if, just like the last 10 years, thereโs no one wanting to collect the tax on billions of gains, then complain on โvibrancyโ

Ireland planners and councillors in every monthly meeting in municipal & SPCโs donโt even measure home ownership, nevermind the policy chosen to reduce home ownership in young by 30% a decade and then the kids pipeline declines to push the โweโre getting older.โ
Nah. Old lads.
Top class stuff from a TD here.
Did you know most TD's & many councillors , who aren't measuring outputs at Municipals & Counties, nor even asking for outcomes monthly?
If "what you measure is what you get", old lads & chambers "measure nothing, getting nothing, rattle nothing"
Every county council will vote on its 2027 budget in the next few weeks.
In August I asked the Department to release 14 years of those budgets in excel format. They did. Here's what it shows about how central government funds local authorities and where Galway County sits.

TRUMP on HIGH GAS PRICES: Weโre making money like weโve never made before. Theyโll say: President Trump is bragging about all the money they're making while people are suffering at the pump. I donโt give a damn. Weโre making a freaking fortune.
Youโd wonder how disconnected from reality those in Departments setting budgets are.
Real discontent brewing.
Outside the bubble of advisors and old yes men, young in dressing rooms across the country are giving up hope. Parents angry. SMEโs crippled.

Anyone assuming T-rump acts in the interest of the US rather than acts in interest of his blind trust/deals for his children is working to the wrong assumption.
Oil & gas investments by T-rump just means oil / gas is to rise, not fall.
Billions to Kushner for deals. Corrupt.
US energy company execs have resigned in disgust as the Trump family is caught secretly expediting the funneling of $25 billion from a sanctioned Russian energy giant in exchange for allowing Russians to obtain a natural gas project in Alaska.
According to investigations by The New York Times and Financial Times, Russia's Novatek allegedly concealed its financial involvement in the American project through a UAE-linked intermediary.
Gentry Beach, a longtime Trump ally and close friend of Donald Trump Jr., signed an agreement with Novatek to pursue natural gas development in Alaska. Reuters documented the arrangement in February.
Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin discussed this cooperation on the Alaska energy project with Trump's representatives, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, during negotiations involving Russia and Ukraine.
The controversy deepened when Polar Train LNG's CEO, Joel Riddle, raised concerns about concealed Russian financing and possible sanctions violations. He departed in September, followed by other senior executives.
The Financial Times also described discussions about a potential arrangement under which Novatek would provide technology for the Alaska project in exchange for sanctions relief benefiting its Arctic LNG 2 development in Siberia.
According to The New York Times, Riddle and two other departing executives warned the Trump administration about the Russian financing and urged officials to investigate.
The White House maintains that the project was mentioned only briefly and that no detailed discussions took place. There is no established evidence that Kushner or Witkoff knew about the allegedly concealed financing. Polar Train LNG denies wrongdoing.
The central question is how a sanctioned Russian energy company became involved in a major American energy venture while Putin was discussing potential economic cooperation with Trump's representatives and a longtime Trump family associate was pursuing a separate agreement with the same Russian company.
Selling Alaska to the Russians or selling Ukraine to the Russians - to the Trump family it's all the same.

A wild story: the CEO of a US energy company whose plans were discussed during the Witkoff-Kushner-Putin negotiations resigns. Why? He learned that his company's main investor is a sanctioned Russian company, not the UAE

Finally got round to reading this.
In any other administration it's something that would be a top 5 history-making story, published shortly before an election!
The GRU hacked into Jared Kushner's iPhone. Dutch military intelligence (MIVD) then recruited a GRU spy who gave them access to the hacked phone. What MIVD discovered was that Kushner had access to two bank accounts --one Azerbaijani, the other Israeli --where Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Emirati ruler Mohammed bin Zayed deposited money. It sounds like a slightly far-fetched episode of "Slow Horses," but it's real. And it proves just how eye-poppingly corrupt this administration was and continues to be as its "special envoy" decides the fate of tens of millions in Europe in the Middle East. Simply incredible reporting by Matthew Cole, drawn from his new book on Kushner. vanityfair.com/story/jared-kโฆ
