The FBS Oversight Committee says in a statement that "instant replay protocols were not followed in the contest’s second-to-last play" in the Western Michigan-Michigan game, and "had the protocols been followed, the outcome of the game would have been different."
FBS oversight committee says it cannot overturn the result.
NEW: The Big Ten has released a statement on the controversial Michigan walk-off Hail Mary against Western Michigan:
“Following video review, it was determined Western Michigan’s #18 started his jump from an established out-of-bounds position (left foot) and made contact with the ball with one second remaining on the clock. As shown in the provided video of what was viewed during the replay process, a side-by-side view of the play and the game clock, using a direct shot of the game clock in the stadium, was used to determine the final ruling.
Eighty-five minutes prior to the game, all broadcast cameras used for the replay system, including the camera on the game clock, are synced using a strobe system to ensure all cameras are aligned.
Per NCAA Football rule 4-2-3-a, “A ball not in player control, other than a kick that scores a field goal, is out of bounds when it touches the ground, a player, a game official or anything else that is out-of-bound, or that is on or outside a boundary line.” and thus the clock is stopped.”

Ohio State was 309-0 when leading by 17+ points at halftime. The Buckeyes are now 309-1.
For the first time in program history, the Buckeyes lost a game when leading by 20+ points after the third quarter (47-1-1). The tie was to SMU in 1978.

I can stomach a 1 point loss to a top 5 on the road. I can't tolerate giving up 21 points in one quarter while trying to play prevent defense, or not letting them score with 1 minute and a timeout. Coaching failed this team... That was winnable.

Laughable statistics:
-- ran nearly 3/4th of its plays from Texas territory
-- reached Texas territory on 8 of 11 possessions
-- reached the Texas 30-yard line 7 times
-- scored 23 points
-- lost the game

Every Ryan Day loss is the same lol…
• Terrible clock management
• Terrible FG kicking
• Defense on the field the entire second half
• Ultra conservative playcalling with a lead
