Aquaponics system is plumbed and the first couple hundred gallons of ceremonial water christened the system. Upon return from the holiday break flow tests begin with all 1200 gallons. We pray no leaks appear. @awtyintlschool #awtylearns

Eureka Day (Archimedes Day) is in full swing with Mrs. Sload’s 6th grade and Mr. Quitzau’s 8th grade. STEAM in action as students learn about density displacing their own volumes in 200 gal water troughs. Awesome curricular convergence opportunity @awtyintlschool #awtylearns

The “fish box” is taking shape. The electrical runs are installed. Spray foam insulation keeps the interior an easy 15 F cooler and the 330 gal “fish tanks” have arrived. Just waiting for kids to return to get to work. @awtyintlschool

The box has landed!! The first of 2 containers was delivered for the aquaculture/hydroponics project. This first container will painted and outfitted for raising fish by students in the fall. The 30 ton crane gently positioned the 2.5 ton box behind the PAAC. @awtyintlschool
