people need to start understanding that this future does not contain music, or film, or art - just the endless whirring and hum of the machines that pump out refractions of the past, and the machines that click on them
Suno - a company that trained on "essentially all music files of reasonable quality that are accessible on the open Internet", and argues it does not need to pay to do so - is now valued at $5.4 billion.
They will pay for GPUs, and for engineers, but not, apparently, for the music they use - other people's music - without which their models would not work.
I know lots of musicians who will be upset. I am with them.
Dillon Brooks, born in 1996, talking about watching Michael Jordan. Cmon man.
Dillon Brooks refers to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as “a little frail” while criticizing officials after Game 2:
“This is the playoffs, a man's game. I used to watch this back when Michael Jordan was playing…when LeBron was younger, just physical basketball. I don't get why all the dropping, the falling and the flopping and flailing…and all this stuff is allowed when we get to the playoffs.”

Nuggets fans were ready for Michael Porter Jr.’s contract to leave town, but Denver doesn’t win a championship without MPJ. Hope that’s not forgotten.

I wanna remember a choice Peter David made in SSM #107.
When Spider-Man found out about Jean DeWolff's death, someone suggested he should have ripped a sign from the ground and yell for revenge.
David opted for this much more human reaction, because he was a great writer.

this is true.
despite the fact that this dude didn't need it, he would still send us ideas for Sound and Fury *every year* and was a pleasure to work with.
Rest in Peace.
