Shall we dig into the data a bit Willie @willnorman ? Your cherry picked graph seems to indicate a huge rise in cycling and it's almost as if you want folk to believe it's a significant modal share of transport overall but I'm sure you didn't mean to imply that 🧐

Parliament is debating the review of LTNs on 20th May. MPs want your views. Please complete the government survey here. It is anonymous forms.office.com/Pages/Respo…

If only other Councils would recognise the harm these LTNs inflict. Time to ban discriminatory LTNs that push congestion and pollution onto other people’s children on community roads where those most vulnerable to the effects of pollution live.

Really looking forward to sitting out on an isolated part of @BowesLTN where no services support and just a relatively bleak view. Well done @JourneysPlaces on another complete farcical project that had zero residential support and cost £0.5m👏

This is just brilliant from @ediz1975 Sums up in less than 3 minutes everything that is wrong with LTNs. Don't miss it!
Please watch till the end ….
LTNs and the real truth …..
@mikehakata @JourneysPlaces @SadiqKhan decided to increase harm upon others calling it a solution…..
This is reality….👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼@SocEnvJustice

The fact that the Streatham Wells LTN suspension is only temporary is exasperating for local people, including small business owners who have been so negatively affected. They cannot be allowed to bring it back.
Make this LTN suspension permanent now.
Streatham BID Business LTN Survey results are published in the latest version of the Heart Streatham magazine - heartstreatham.com/issues/?i…
The feedback is pretty damming on LTNs, with nearly 60% saying sales or revenue decreased, and 90% said access to their business by customers was negatively impacted!

And sadly too late for a few businesses. @lambeth_council and its councillors refused to listen while this happened in their watch. A Councillors job is to listen to ALL their constituents, not just those pro the #LTn

Thanks to @MsRachelCooke for recognising the injustices of Boris’ LTN traffic relocation schemes (so enthusiastically embraced by many @UKLabour councils) a bit of a first for @guardian

All it required was the removal of an LTN. Islington, you could do the same to relieve Blackstock Rd; Hackney to relieve Graham Rd; Haringey to relieve Green Lanes. And you could do it by Easter. Why prolong the suffering of those living on and using these roads?

The 2019 @KingsCollegeLon study confirmed children's greatest air pollution exposure is as they walk along main roads, higher than "inside cars"! 👇 teapaw.org/LittleNinjaUK/status/1…
Schemes that increase traffic, congestion & emissions on main roads increase harm to kids most at risk.

#Airpollution can often be higher inside cars but exposure is greater for children walking along main roads. Their journey time is longer, they breathe more rapidly and take #ToxicAir deeper into their lungs. Oct 2019 Kings College study 👇🏾 kcl.ac.uk/news/children-expo… #NO2idling

During SWells LTN SL6 journey was 1hr 20 mins. Post LTN 1 hr max & this eve 45 mins 😊 The impact of the LTN outside of Streatham was heavily felt too. A positive for all on that full bus, 35 mins extra with the kids for me @TfL @lambeth_council - take note of the true impact.

I’m all for reducing pollution but our LTN was a disaster – I’m glad it’s gone #Streatham inews.co.uk/inews-lifestyle/…

"... LTN was a daily nightmare for most local people, costing them time, money and possibly even their sanity.
And IF it met its aims of cleaning up the air inside the LTN it did so at the expense of its neighbours... The fumes were awful..." #LTNFail onlondon.co.uk/caroline-thor…

The Streatham Wells LTN showed what a dumb idea LTNs are, dumping traffic on the already busiest roads to make the quietest roads even quieter. The logic bypass of making the good better by making the bad worse needs filing in the dustbin of failed, crap policy design.
