All of us at Rocket Chassis and Rocket1 Racing is saddened by the passing of Forrest Lucas. Forrest was, without a doubt, one of the biggest sponsors and contributors that motorsports has ever seen. His love for the sport has been instrumental in many divisions of motorsports to where it has grown to today. Even though we race with a competing oil brand, Forrest always welcomed the Valvoline Rocket1 team. Forest understood in order for this sport to grow that we need everybody, even competing brands. Motorsports lost a great ambassador, contributor and supporter. Everyone at the Rocket family sends our deepest condolences and prayers to the Lucas family.

After a number of questions today….. A couple of things about Brandon’s car last night. That car was a 22 XR1 with 1.2 updates that can be done to a XR1. Somethings can’t be done that the 1.2 has. The shock package is the most up to date that we have been working with throughout the year. Customers that have a XR1 and want to do the possible updates can call Kurt at 304-592-3200. Customers wanting to update their shock package can call Paul at 304-592-3200 Paul is really busy the sooner you get your shocks in to be updated the better.

Sad to hear of the tragic passing of one of the greatest that ever drove a dirt late model. Scott and I were rivals for many years but we both always had great respect for each other as competitors. It’s hard to believe. I remember the first time I saw him race in 1983 at Kingsport Speedway. I knew that day he was different. I am glad that Scott and I had many conversations in the past few years to verify the respect we both had for each other. The racing world lost one of the best to ever do it today. Prayers to the Bloomquist family. 🙏🏻
