Today's daily dose of the Beatles is dedicated to my dear friend Vincent of @Beatlesandsolo who sadly passed away. R.I.P. Vincent you will be missed

Paul McCartney: "It was our first stab at a ballad and had a little spoken preface. It was co-written. I don't think either of us dominated on that one; it was just a job. You could have called us hacks, hacking out a song for someone." (Barry Miles. Paul McCartney: Many Years From Now). Your daily dose of The Beatles.

"She Loves You" is the song that thrust the Beatles full-scale into the British national spotlight. Part of this was the effectiveness of the song's hook; author Eric Starr wrote in retrospect, "Each chorus or refrain pounds the hook into your head until it's imprinted in your brain." As Nicholas Schaffner later wrote, it was "'yeah, yeah, yeah' chanted repeatedly and emphatically enough to drive any listener out of his mind, one way or the other." Your daily dose of The Beatles.
