From 25 Oct 2026 Revolut Ltd blocks external wallet transfers for Swiss crypto customers. UK customers keep them.
Whatever the reason, it fits a pattern: no travel rule threshold, unhosted wallet proof, stablecoin holder KYC.
Switzerland asks more than the EU.
It shows.

By the way: Apple is totally ok if you let them know about their outrageous pricing by buying an iPhone 18 Pro and an iPad instead of an iPhone Duo
I guess nobody saw that coming

Ok after a bit of banging my openclaw's head against its mac mini wall, (needed to revert to uncensored local ai for this one), got Columbo working, maybe a series where Columbo investigates suspected satoshis?

A reassuring little discovery about Swiss media pluralism.
Last Saturday, the FT put Geneva’s increasingly violent “homejackings” on its front page: wealthy residents attacked in their homes, organised gangs linked to southern France, and questions about how easily perpetrators can disappear across the border.
I was surprised. I follow Swiss news reasonably closely, yet I had barely heard about this.
My first suspicion was political. Perhaps a story about cross-border crime and tighter border controls was more attractive to some Swiss media than others, depending on their views on Europe and Schengen.
So I checked. And that suspicion was mostly wrong.
Le Temps, despite its clearly pro-European outlook, has covered the homejackings extensively. So have RTS and Tribune de Genève. And they haven’t been coy about the French connection. Conversely, some media one might expect to find the story irresistible haven’t made particularly much of it.
The real dividing line seems simpler: the Röstigraben.
The homejackings have been a story in Romandie for months. In German-speaking Switzerland, much less so. Blick eventually picked up the FT story and made almost exactly that point: “Home-Jackings” were “in der Deutschschweiz kaum bekannt.”
So the FT hadn’t uncovered something Swiss journalists were avoiding. It had taken a regional Geneva crime story and recognised the bigger one:
Geneva + super-rich + private bankers + commodity traders + violent gangs from France + porous border.
That’s a pretty good FT story.
And the exercise was reassuring. Swiss media certainly have their political leanings and blind spots. But they are different leanings and different blind spots. Taken together, we still have a rather healthy media ecosystem in which uncomfortable stories tend to get reported somewhere.
Sometimes it just takes the Financial Times to carry them across the Röstigraben.

As I'm not the first one to point out, whether they want to admit it or not, many women have always been attracted to bad boys and risk-takers.
I can’t think of any archetype of man that fits that description more today than crossborder M&A attorneys that put it all on the line every day in law.
An overdue and frankly welcome development.
