I resent the suggestion that Wakili’s alleged “double life” somehow justifies his enforced disappearance at the hands of the State.
If such allegations exist, NPS should produce him in court and let him answer those allegations through due process.
Shame on you !! @ntvkenya

From Advisory to Accountability- Strengthening Youth Leadership in Digital Health Governance in Kenya. How do we ensure that health rights, safety and voices of young people and people living with HIV are protected in an increasingly digital health environment?
In commemoration of the Digital Health Week 2026, @KELINKenya convened the Kenya Community Accountability Team (K-CAT) for an inception meeting under the Protecting Health Equity in the Digital Age: Youth-Led Community Accountability Project. Building on the work and experiences of the @DigHealthRights, the meeting marked an important transition for K-CAT team from a community advisory structure to a youth-led accountability platform.
Over two days, members strengthened their understanding and practical skills in:
▶️ Digital rights, data protection and the Digital Health Act.
▶️ Identifying and documenting digital health harms, including privacy violations, unauthorized disclosure of health information and non-consensual disclosure of HIV status. Understanding legal, regulatory and institutional pathways for seeking redress.
▶️ Paralegal approaches to supporting communities to document harms, file complaints and follow up with relevant duty bearers.
▶️ Safeguarding, ethical documentation and responsible case management.
Through practical exercises, scenario-based simulations and peer learning, participants explored how evidence of digital harms can move beyond documentation to redress and institutional reforms. Young people must not only be participants in digital health governance but also equipped to shape it, monitor it and hold systems accountable. As digital health continues to evolve, community-led accountability is essential to ensuring that innovation advances health equity, protects human rights and leaves no one behind.
This work receives financial support from the Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research.

We got your back, New York!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026).

Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation (SLAPPs).
Some lawsuits aren’t meant to be won. They’re meant to exhaust.
The Platform (Nov 2026) examines how SLAPPs chill public participation in Kenya, and why courts must recognise abusive litigation and resist silencing speech.

The Supreme Court heard this important appeal today: Whether the Dina Management principle applies in transfer of title through public auctions?
During the hearing, the Court raised a very interesting question, 'are you asking us to depart from Dina?'

As SCORK determines the question Whether the Dina Management principle applies in transfer of title through public auctions, it has granted a conservatory order in the Teleposta case restraining Teleposta from selling, charging or disposing the land.
