Florida's Libertarian vote for governor nearly doubled.
2022: Hector Roos, 19,299 votes
2026: Scott Jewett, 37,889 votes
That's a 96.33% jump. And Jewett isn't going anywhere: "Win or lose, we're running again."
Third-party moment?

He should press charges, but we need to stop thinking that these “debates” are anything but inflammatory.
A debate is only successful if both sides are mature. However, when both sides are going for “gotcha” moments to share on social media, it’s a problem.
WATCH: An older man slaps an 18-year-old Turning Point Action volunteer during a heated exchange outside a New Hampshire polling location.
Video shows the man flipping off the teenager, slapping him and shouting, “F*** you,” after the volunteer tells him he hasn’t provided any statistics to support his argument.
Police are investigating the confrontation. The man’s political affiliation remains unconfirmed.

Good reflection for this Monday morning.
I want to talk a moment about how jaded and cynical and hateful politics can make people.
Being in politics and running for national office, I saw this quite a bit, even from folks who I consider friends and allies.
You get siloed and hyper focused and think in your head that this is the most important thing. And that thinking has you sometimes compromising your character, or even the mere temptation of such. There were times on the campaign trail I had to remind myself why I ran for office.
It wasn't because I hated my opponents or their supporters. It was because I loved my fellow men and women around me and wanted them to have the best lives possible.
Love is so much more powerful than hatred and division. I have always found that tapping into the power of love is a much better (and more successful) thing than being tempted to hate or other or divide people.
Someone once said to me, "when a woman lifts up a car than has her child pinned underneath, its not her hatred of the car that gives her the strength to move it, its the love for her child."
Its a powerful statement to think about.
I hope everyone had a good Sunday and are ready to start the week with more love leading the way.
