If your @defcon badge lets out its smoke, here is a workaround. Use a hot air station to remove the audio chip (the burnt one) *solder jumper from capacitor to resistor. *solder jumper from audio jack to ground on USB. #defcon30

Hey all! Public notice of potential badge damage! Watch your lanyards, if it falls like this it can potentially destroy the speaker amplifier. We recommend potting some tape over the “line out” jack to protect the contacts!
