A report from USA TODAY, citing the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, says roughly 5.5% of employed Americans, or about 9 million people, hold multiple jobs. Financial pressure is one reason workers take on additional roles, while others seek new skills, career flexibility or a backup source of income. Bank of America is expanding its nationwide hiring efforts for 1,000 apprentices with a $150 million investment. The organization said apprentices are set to join paid, work-based learning programs across areas including consumer banking, technology and operations.
