So... In a shocking twist... It turns out Democrats are lying about the screwworm issue. Screwworm prevention programs are still going strong, but the issue is in 2022 screwworms were able to cross the Darien Gap due to the massive amount of unvetted migration north trying to reach America. xitter.cf/JettPlain9/status/2062…

Stop lying and misleading! The core U.S. screwworm eradication program (sterile fly releases via the long-running COPEG partnership with Panama) was not dismantled. Under Secretary Brooke Rollins, the current USDA has: • Expanded sterile fly production and dispersal (including a new Texas facility at Moore Air Base, renovations in Mexico, and preemptive releases extending into U.S. border areas starting January 2026). • Launched a $100 million “NWS Grand Challenge” for new technologies. • Created a dedicated NWS Directorate and activated rapid containment (quarantines, surveillance, sterile fly airlifts) immediately after this detection. usda.gov

Talarico's religion is the "Christian Trans Movement."
State Rep. James "Cali" Calarico (he/him) currently attends a seminary that leads the "Christian Trans Movement." That IS his religion. The Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary founded the Austin Queer Alliance. This entire "church" is set up to push trans issues, including on young people! There's no doubt Calarico and school choice opponents want to force this insane agenda on kids. No thanks! Take that woke lunacy to the Golden State, Rep. Calarico. #calicalarico #californiadreaming

Thank you, Governor Abbott (@GovHotWheels_TX), for signing this historic school choice bill into law. 👏 Families like Choice’s now have the freedom to choose the educational opportunity that best meets their children’s needs.

The clear path was simple. Vote for vouchers and end Robin Hood. Abbott supported both. Robin Hood was signed by Ann Richards in 1993. Last session Republican Rep. Shaheen and Sen. Middleton filed bills to repeal recapture. Both went to education committees and never got a hearing. Talarico and Hinojosa sat on the House Public Education Committee. They had the power to push the bill. They fought against vouchers and didn’t fight for eliminating Robin Hood. They voted for a different bill that left the system in place. Hinojosa and Talarico had the chance to cut taxes. They didn’t.

She quite literally has been running this scheme for clicks and relevance for a decade. As someone who lived in and was involved in politics in Midland, most people there know she’s batshit crazy and will just tell her what she wants to hear to get her to go away. She’s a laughingstock and an embarrassment to the city, has 0 relevance or sway with anyone, and is generally a nuisance most people try to stay away from.
Rural oil rich town in Texas is all in for Talarico!

I've known @jamestalarico for nearly 20 years. When we were at @UTAustin in 2009, he ran the University Democrats and I ran the College Republicans. Although we disagreed, I once considered him a friend. But then he betrayed the entire student body for his own political gain.🧵

FACT CHECK: James Talarico says he passed "60 bipartisan bills" in the Texas House. I pulled his official Texas Legislature member reports for every session since 2019. Bills Talarico authored that became law: 10. Three were local or ceremonial: a highway naming, a utility district, and dam work for a water district. That leaves seven real laws in four terms. In 2025, he authored 48 bills. Zero became law. His "largest early childhood education bill in our state's history"? Written by a Republican. Talarico was a coauthor. His insulin cap? Written by a Republican. His bill died in committee. Verdict: False. Ten is not sixty. He is counting other people's bills as his own. Data below 👇

I know that every time I'm in the hospital for 2 weeks with the flu so bad I can't even pick up the phone...the doctor always tells me "first thing you should do when you walk outta here is go to a dusty outdoor music festival in 95 degree heat with 75,000 people." Miraculous!

Interesting story by @ktrhnews about Rep Hinojosa's Property Tax Plans that could Lead To Even Higher Costs‼️ Democrat nominee for governor Gina Hinojosa is pushing her new plan to lower property taxes, but I am warning about the unintended consequences of "tax shifts"! According to recent reporting on her plan, Hinojosa aims to shift the property tax burden off of actual homes and onto local businesses, so I pointed out that those Texas businesses will likely just pass those taxes back down to customers via higher prices. Because 70% of what’s bought in this economy is bought by consumers. That means taxpayers are going to pay for this no matter what. What has worked and that I have pushed is more effective. Lowering the M&O rates on school districts and increasing the homestead exemptions has been extremely successful; it’s knocked all taxpayers' bill down by a third, plus 61% of Texas Seniors are paying ZERO on their property tax bill this year. I pointed out that the cost of that relief has been paid for by the Texas budget surplus, which means there are no extra costs to pass back down to consumers and homeowners. Hinojosa’s plan looks more like something that was thrown together quickly in an election year, rather than an actually well-thought-out #txlege budget plan. This is the best leaked audio Paxton could have had. He just unknowningly won back half or more of the Republicans who were not going to vote for him. This is exactly what they’ve been wanting to hear. Reduce the deficit by reducing spending. Democrats have no interest in reducing the deficit. Yes, we will need to address mandatory spending, even including the defense budget. But defense is a tiny portion of spending compared to welfare and entitlement programs.
NEW @TexasTribune: Ken Paxton privately suggested he'd support cutting federal benefit programs, per new leaked audio. Asked about reducing the deficit, he said: “Making some reasonable cuts to mandatory spending - you're gonna have to do it." "We have to suck it up."

Guess somebody forgot to check the calendar when they set up the flu ruse. According to the Dallas Morning News, Talarico’s own campaign says he was diagnosed at a Dallas urgent care the night of September 28, too contagious to face Texans. Small problem. He had two back to back New York fundraisers on his own invitations. Monday, September 28, 7:00 pm, downtown Manhattan, with Robert De Niro. Tuesday, September 29, 5:30 pm, Greenwich Village. Texas Scorecard asked the campaign about that second fundraiser. No answer. The Daily Wire asked about the canceled Texas events. No answer. Nobody has explained how he was in a Dallas urgent care the same night he was at a Manhattan reception. Pick a lie, James. Why are you hiding?

School choice did not take a dollar from Texas public schools. Education Freedom Accounts were funded separately, straight from General Revenue. That money never came out of the public school budget. Public schools are at an all-time high: more than $90 billion a year. Last session alone, Gov. Abbott signed $8.5 billion in new public education funding. “They raided our schools” is a lie. Texas funded public schools and gave parents choices.

Hinojosa is spewing lies as usual. Here are the facts: 1. The school choice program didn’t take a SINGLE DOLLAR from public schools. 2. 80% of current TEFA students are at or below 200% of poverty. 1/4 have a disability. 3. As AISD president, Hinojosa destroyed the district and 20,000 parents pulled their kids out.
$227 million stripped from Texas schools to fund Greg Abbott's corrupt voucher scam. $68 million from Houston ISD alone. Our kids suffer while Abbott's donors get rich. When I'm Governor, I will end the voucher scam and save our neighborhood schools.

A promise from @jamestalarico, even if in writing, means nothing. He will sign whatever you put in front of him, smile, and then immediately do the opposite of what he claimed he would do. His political career is nothing more than rank hypocrisy time and time again. He does not have the moral character required to serve in office.
In 2022, James Talarico signed a pledge "not to accept a dime of fossil fuel money." On Sat, his campaign was told it had 1 week to return $36k in donations from oil execs & lobbyists to avoid the No Fossil Fuel's "wall of shame." Talarico's campaign tells us he's keeping it. nbcnews.com/politics/2026-el…
