I feel bad for @KatieZacharia. That said, she chose to put herself in a position where, if she had any skeletons in her closet, they were likely to come out. And if she had any flaws in her communications skill set, they were likely to come out.
That's a heck of a lot of damage to do to one's reputation in just a couple of days. She should be upset with herself and with whoever encouraged her to take the job and whoever encouraged Trump to offer her the job.
Obviously, it's not new for Trump to pick people he sees on Fox News and give them jobs they are not qualified for, like defense secretary.
It was a surprising pick in part because nobody has heard of her and part because he had said he was likely to pick a man so that the next person would not face the difficult comparison (at least as perceived by Trump and some others) to Karoline Leavitt. So you'd have to think that @ScottJenningsKY was really at the top of the list for most of the time and is likely to be the choice now.
Poor ol' Katie shattered Anthony Scaramucci's record
And all she's going to get out of it is ridicule and everybody in the world, knowing that she never passed the bar exam.
Again, much of the responsibility as hers, but I still do feel a little bit bad for her.
Not entirely sure who would want to start a new job in the sinking ship of the Trump administration right now anyway.
Your @KOAColorado radio morning crew
Me, @KOAJeana @DragonRedBeard
Another ugly win by the @Broncos, but now they are 4-2 after a brutal opening part of the season schedule.
This morning, @jaredpolis joined me on @KOAColorado and aggressively urged voters to vote no on 87. He described it as "game over" for Colorado's competitiveness if it passes.

In this @CNN interview, @killinforco says, “I don’t talk about that I’m a Democrat that much.”
I thought voters in #CO05 might want to see her in front of the #HarrisWalz plane. Seventh from the left, in case she forgot. She’s VERY much a Democrat. #copolitics

It's dismaying how many supporters of Russia there are on this platform. A combination of true fascists (not the way the left throws around the term), anti-Semites, idiots, and ignorant people being manipulated by those others.
How can anyone look at that war and not understand that Putin is not just Ukraine's enemy, but America's enemy as well?
Peace never comes through weakness. Today, representatives of the U.S. Congress were in Kyiv – a bipartisan delegation – and I am grateful to them for visiting Ukraine at such a difficult time. They asked: what is needed to end the war? The answer must be strong. There must be sanctions under the Lindsey Graham bill, there must be support for Ukraine in protecting lives, and there must be pressure on Russia for its war. And today, there was a conversation between the leaders of America and Russia. A conversation that leads to something different.
Recently, there was a European decision to lift sanctions on Russian oligarchs. Since then, Russian strikes and the torment of people have only increased. This past week alone, there was a brutal Russian missile strike on a residential building in Pryluky, aerial bombs were dropped on Kramatorsk – on ordinary city buses – and there have been constant attacks on Kyiv’s energy infrastructure and on the life-sustaining infrastructure in Dnipro, Kharkiv, Odesa, and our other cities. Dozens of people have been killed and hundreds wounded.
The Russians are compensating for their inability to achieve their objectives on the battlefield with this kind of terror. This year, Russia is weaker on the battlefield than at any other point in the war. That is why Putin is relying on terror. That is why he is relying on attempts to strike backroom deals to secure some form of pressure relief for Russia, in order to buy more time and more opportunities for war.
Any easing of sanctions against Russia without a clear and lasting de-escalation agreement with Russia is an obvious weakness. It plays into Russia’s hands – allowing it to kill more, wage war for longer, have even less respect for America, and inflict even greater losses and damage on the world.
Ukraine is ready to take symmetrical de-escalatory steps, and the American team knows our position. Our strikes on Russian oil refineries and other oil facilities are a response to Russia’s years-long campaign of terror against Ukraine’s energy sector. Ukraine will not set Russian oil refineries on fire if Russia does not destroy our energy infrastructure. This is the kind of agreement we are proposing to America, and we believe the United States has enough power to achieve such a compromise.
Gifts to Putin will not bring peace or any benefit to the civilized world. Russia will “repay” the diesel with further terror and perfidy. Allowing Russia to sell petroleum products is an investment in a war that must be ended, not prolonged. What is needed is real de-escalation with Russia on a reciprocal basis.
We count on America’s fair support for our defense of life, for our defense of people in Ukraine – and on the United States having a correspondingly strong conversation with Russia. A strong one, not a weak one.
I understand why Trump is willing to do almost anything to get diesel prices down, but he was just manipulated by Putin again because obviously the only reason Putin would go along with this is in order to get Trump to pressure Ukraine not to attack Russian refineries. Pretty pathetic move by Trump.
I don't care what eise Navi Pillay has done. For the Nobel committee to give her the Peace Prize when she is such a big part of this generation's blood libel against Israel, the claim of "genocide" that communist Islamist @ZohranKMamdani also spouts and which they know is utter nonsense intended solely to stoke hatred of Jews, is truly disgusting.
In a league with giving it to Yasser Arafat and worse than giving it to Algore, another famous purveyor of lies, or to Barack Obama who, at the time of receiving the prize, had done nothing whatsoever to deserve it other than being elected president while being black (and since then has still done nothing to deserve it.)
The @NobelPrize committee can go ____ themselves now that they've decided to join the ranks of global antisemites.
There's a new poll showing that 21% of likely voters think Trump is very likely or somewhat likely to actually send out $5000 checks if the GOP keeps both chambers of Congress. So 21% of the population is too stupid to be allowed to vote.
But what do you really think, Tony?
He comes across like the insecure, violent, vile, toxic, arrogantly stupid, mental and emotional midget he actually is... fake doctor, real jihadi Oompa Loompa @AbdulElSayed is the goat smelling, flatulent grifter Frankenstein that @georgesoros funded and built...
Even Columbia is not stupid enough to have done that intentionally, and they've been really really tone-deaf and far too tolerant of antisemitism for years. (That's my alma mater, but don't hold it against me. I came out sane.)

This was a mistake, not a reference to the events of October 7. The date was accidentally left in when the day’s meal information was copied into the menu template. The signs were removed as soon as the error was caught, and we’re sorry for the concern and confusion this caused.

He's mostly right but not as right as I'd wish he was. He puts an incorrect spin on "nationalism", trying (I assume) to appeal to the many in MAGA who consider themselves "nationalists". Nationalism is not just about having a positive view of one's own country.
I'm not with Erin on everything but this seems like an obvious "yes". It's at least a 70/30 issue in the country, maybe more (for yes), but in a state this blue with leftists as motivated as they are to turn out to vote, I can imagine 134 losing. (I think it will win and hope it will but wouldn't bet my life on it.)
BTW, putting aside what anyone thinks of trans kids, I understand kids wanting to compete and part of me feels sympathy for the honestly trans kids who truly identify as the other gender (again, not looking to debate all that right now) and just want to be involved in athletics.
But the degree of unfairness to girls and young women to have to compete against a biological male, esp one who has gone through puberty, is simply massive and must trump whatever sympathy one might have for a biological male who "identifies as female" and wants to be on the team or compete in the sport.
Letting a boy compete against girls destroys opportunities for lots of girls in order to protect one boy and it's clearly not OK. Also, the idea of having a boy, regardless of how (s)he identifies, in a locker room with girls is completely unacceptable.
One need not share the aggressively anti-trans views of some folks (not ascribing that to Erin at this moment since I don't know if that would be a fair description) to recognize that YES is clearly the right vote on Prop 134.

This is a big time screw up in Colorado's elections. Voters outside the multi-county district for the passenger rail project have it on their ballots.
@MarshallZNews is just starting to peel back the layers of what this means and how it will be resolved.
Can you believe that Michigan might elect a terrorist-adjacent antisemitic socialist?
It is my honor and privilege to announce that President @BarackObama is joining us on the trail in Detroit on Saturday, October 24.
Get. Ready.
Here's my 2026 voter guide. For sure at least one, probably two or three, of my ballot measure recommendations will differ from what I expect to be the viewpoint of most of my usual political allies.
In any case, no matter how disappointed you are in our federal or state government, please make sure to at least vote:
FOR Michael Allen for CO Atty General
AGAINST Amendment 87
AGAINST Prop NN
FOR Prop 136
