I had the pleasure of visiting @Rotary Club of Marangu Kigo and witnessing their inspiring initiative of establishing a remedial learning class to support pupils who experience learning difficulties.
The club has equipped the classroom, creating an enabling environment where these learners can receive the attention and support they need to thrive. This is a meaningful investment in inclusive education and a brighter future for every child.
I encourage the club to continue growing its membership so that we can have more hands on deck to expand our impact and transform even more lives.
Together, we can do more!

I had the pleasure of visiting a very powerful and fast growing @Rotary Club of #Arusha_Mount_Meru, where I witnessed an incredible initiative: the construction of a TZS 680 million Blood Bank in partnership with Mount Meru Hospital (Arusha Regional Referral Hospital).
This is a powerful example of what strategic partnerships between Rotary and government can achieve.
By investing in life-saving healthcare infrastructure, the club is creating tangible, sustainable impact that will benefit countless lives.
Together, we are not just building projects; we are saving lives and creating lasting impact!

Makerere University Rotary Peace Centre @MakerereRotary sits atop a hill in Kampala, but this Centre represents much more than its geography, it represents purpose. Here, experienced mid-career professionals from public service, civil society, and international NGOs come together to hone their skills and tackle real-world challenges.
The goal? To build peace not just as a vague ideal, but as a practical craft for Africa and the world beyond.
Fully funded by Rotary @Rotary , the fellowship has steadily grown into a powerhouse since welcoming its inaugural class in February 2021. Across 12 cohorts, it has supported 223 fellows from 52 countries representing immense global reach and real-world impact.
The Africa Peace Concert @apconcert is one of the primary vehicles we use to raise funds for the Centre’s ongoing activities.
We invite you to join us for the 6th edition of the Africa Peace Concert on November 27, 2026, held during the All Africa Zone Institute @RotaryAfrica_ . At $100, your ticket is an investment in an unforgettable evening where culture meets classical entertainment for a cause that extends far beyond the final note.

The DG @DGDanielDdam has called on us to raise the bar, go beyond our best, and uphold a simple but powerful standard: Do it well. Do it right.

Giving Must Be Matched by Stewardship
RI Director @Emmanuel_Rotary stressed that generosity is only half of the equation. "When we give, we must also know how to use these funds well," he said.
He called on every club to complete its qualification to access Foundation grants, and on leaders to make stewardship "second to none."
Funds raised in good faith, he noted, must return to communities as projects that are well managed and well reported.

A Special Year for Africa
The RI Director @Emmanuel_Rotary closed on a personal note that drew a strong response from the room. With an African serving on the RI Board of Directors, he said, this year carries special meaning for the continent. "I am your Director.
Just imagine me sitting at the RI Board of Directors meeting, and our giving stands at only 600,000 dollars. Make me proud."

A Century of Doing Good
RI Director @Emmanuel_Rotary began by reminding the room where it all started. "In 1917, we created an endowment fund to go out and change the world," he said. More than a century later, he described The Rotary Foundation as "the engine of Rotary", the force that powers clean water, education, maternal health and the global fight against polio.

Every Dollar Counts
The RI Director made the case for giving in simple, practical terms. "Just one dollar helps drive polio out through immunisation; 1,000 dollars means 1,000 children protected against polio," he told members.
Yet he was clear that the size of the gift matters less than the spirit behind it. "Giving is about the heart, not the money. When you give from the heart, you change the world," he said, before urging every member to "give to The Rotary Foundation until it hurts."
