America could wake up on Wednesday with all three branches of our government — the — Executive, Legislative, and Judicial — Trumpist. With this clip, take five minutes to ponder Germany’s memorials and the price that nation paid for being bamboozled by a bombastic autocrat. Listen to the heartfelt message of my German tour guides, for whom these memorials are like ghosts of mistakes made and evils allowed… ghosts that haunt their society still. These are the same guides who clink glasses in the beer halls and yodel from the hilltops with our American tour members. They admire America. They love America. And they are worried for America. If we vote for fascism, it’ll likely be won by one or two percent (or even less)…and perhaps just a few stadiums of people will tip the balance. And history has taught my European friends that the cost of a course correction is infinitely more heartbreaking after a wannabe dictator wins an election than before. We are all participants, we are all responsible, and we will all bear the consequences of our collective choice.

That was a horrendous, unacceptable loss for the Bills against a miserable Patriots team. And there’s one person to blame. From today’s #ScheinOnSports ⁦@MadDogRadio⁩ ⁦@SiriusXMSports⁩ #BillsMafia

Respectfully submitting to the @RTA_Chicago @CTA and @KirkDillard that one small way CTA could get ahead of the looming "fiscal cliff" is to quit pissing away money on that 3rd party security guard contract that is costing you millions every month to do very little.

A fan of the Chicago Bulls successfully made a remarkable shot during a 1993 game, winning a million-dollar prize. This shot, nicknamed "The Calhoun Shot" or "The Immaculate Connection," occurred when spectator Don Calhoun made a 75-foot shot from the free-throw line at the opposite end of the court during a timeout in the third quarter of a Chicago Bulls vs. Miami Heat game on April 14, 1993. The shot was part of a promotional campaign offering a million-dollar reward to any fan who could achieve this feat. However, an insurance company named American Hole 'N One Inc initially invalidated the payment, citing a technicality due to Calhoun's past involvement in college basketball, which violated the contest rules. Despite this setback, both fan and player uproar ensued over the non-payment to Calhoun. Eventually, the sponsors of the promotion, including Coca-Cola and the Bulls, decided to honor the payment. As a result, Calhoun received $50,000 annually for the next two decades, totaling the promised million-dollar prize. Interestingly, Calhoun mentioned that Michael Jordan later remarked, "we made them pay it," referring to the collective effort that led to the sponsors fulfilling the payment.

.@KFAlegal nails it: “As a three-decade former state prosecutor in New York, I have never seen a defendant treated as leniently as defendant Trump. He has a rap sheet with 3 open felony indictments, 78-charges, in 3 separate jurisdictions. He has repeatedly threatened prosecutors, judges, and potential witnesses and has his own 757 jumbo jet at the ready to fly anywhere in the world and can abscond at any time. And the nature of his charges are among the most serious there are — he is accused of stealing our nation’s most sensitive secrets, trying to destroy evidence of his crimes, committing fraud in the oval office, and causing a violent insurrection in order to attempt to steal an election he lost, and our democracy. Imagine if he were Black or Muslim. There is no doubt he would be incarcerated pending trial.” – at Alpine, NJ

San Francisco, night 3/3. This music has made me a better player, and this band made me a better person. I was given the opportunity of a lifetime - to have access to the greatest songbook in modern music, and the deepest well of life memories shared by hundreds of thousands of Deadheads who extended their grace and acceptance to me. I learned to compromise, and to take other people’s chances along with them. I learned to play in real time, to express myself without the distraction of ambition or expectation. I learned to listen, to have musical conversation, and most importantly, to be a part of something much bigger than myself. It was never about me. It was bout “it” - that spirit that a band and a crowd could go looking for together. If I’ve done my job right, I’ll disappear into that beautiful tapestry, the one that began almost 60 years ago and will continue to expand for lifetimes to come. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for embracing me and my place in this band, and to Bob, Mickey, and Billy - I’ll never be able to fully express my gratitude for your taking a chance on me. Something magical happened on this tour, and I don’t think any of us saw it coming. @deadandcompany is still a band - we just don’t know what the next show will be. I speak for us all when I say that I look forward to being shown the next shaft of light… I know we will all move towards it together. This band changed my life, and I love you all for it. An incredible tour, an unforgettable ride, and a beautiful world of memories to visit. I’ll be seeing you…. ⚡️♥️⚡️
