At last Rowmote and Rowmote Pro 5.0! Years in the making, but I'm proud to finally bring the granddaddy of Mac remote control apps to modern iOS devices with a fresh foundation for growth. What features would you like to see in the next version?
New Rowmote Helper is now available with full macOS Monterey support! rowmote.com
After extensive work, Rowmote Helper 4.2 is now available with many updates for macOS Catalina, including a return of AirPlay control! Huzzah!
macOS Mojave tip: If the trackpad and keyboard aren't working, you need to grant the needed permissions to Rowmote Helper. See regularrateandrhythm.com/app… for step-by-step instructions.
Just resolved a website outage. If you had any trouble finding or downloading Rowmote Helper, please try again now.
@Kon_yogi The window should just appear. Have you tried restarting your Mac?
@markusoneill I don't see a solution to how to handle it otherwise for Rowmote without Pro. Most people want to get new features...
@markusoneill With Rowmote Pro you can just use the track pad to dismiss the update notification (or to update)
@alexandtheweb ...and 1 person left a 1 star review immediately saying it wouldn't work for him. Of course, didn't email & no way to reply…
@alexandtheweb Best I can figure is that it last updated shortly after the most recent upgrade..
Working on finishing up adding support for @plexapp's lovely new Plex Media Player. Coming to an update near you soon!
Mac OS X 10.7 and 10.8 users: Sorry for the spurious upgrade notification. Fixed now. You want to stick with Rowmote Helper 4.1.3.
Finishing up adding support for Rowmote over Bluetooth and peer to peer WiFi. Interested in beta testing? Email me ([email protected])!
Just released Rowmote Helper 4.1.4. Biggest change: fixed AirPlay control in Mac OS X 10.11 "El Capitan." Happy Sunday!
In the meantime, the trackpad *does* actually work on 3D Touch screens, but you have to tap as quickly and lightly as possible!
