🚨BREAKING NEWS🚨 ZEBRE PARMA OFFICIALLY UP FOR SALE🦓🟡🔵🇮🇹 According to RugbyMeet (Link⬇️) yesterday's federal council meeting was to discuss (what a lot of us were already aware of) Zebre's position with the FIR. First of all, let's discuss the implications based in what's reported: What is likely to change: 1) Location 📍- there have been plenty of Veneto based Serie-A Elite (The highest level of Italian rugby played in Italy) interested in purchasing it. Including Petrarca Padova Owner (and president of Italian Steel) 2) Rebrand 🦓❌️ - if the club is going to move to Veneto, the club's there are steeped in rugby tradition. We may see Zebre Padova but here at Fd'R we are anticipating a complete rebrand if Zebre Parma are sold. Additional Speculation 1) Veneto Super-Team💥 - it was also reported that a few of the SAE are interested in forming a behemoth of a team by merging and pooling resources, to rival Benetton's. Again, Fd'R Podcast don't see this happening because of the years of intense rivalries and the different directions those at the helm will want to travel in. 2) A move south? 🧭⬇️ - Duodo when he came into power was very passionate about growing the game south, if Zebre joins Benetton in Veneto then we will be further partitioning Italian Rugby, which may affect the ability of the game to grow in the south.
