This was a perfect final touch. In the manga, Magna defeats Dante with a normal punch. But here he uses the chain as a brass knuckle before the spell wears off. But remember he says the chain is their soul. So to grab it is him literally putting his soul into that final punch. Then the whole chain turns red. Magna dominated every aspect of that fight down to the soul element.

It's so impressive how much Magna vs Dante felt like a boxing match, especially in an anime filled with flashy magic spells. Zora yelling like a boxing coach for his disciple to win instead of entering the ring is the cherry on top
