Beat up but fine. Police stole my phone. Settlers punched me in the face several times, likely broke @AdeleShoko's wrist and gave @the_andrey_x a concussion. They threatened to shoot us with an assault rifle over and over.
Will tell the full story later, but for now, I just want to be clear about what happened. We witnessed two settlers locking a military gate in Umm al-Khair, blocking the only way to more than twenty Palestinian communities: trapping families inside, preventing students from reaching school and workers from their jobs, blocking delivery of food and access to ambulances, etc.
It's a crime that the military has this ability at all--but last night, we discovered that random settler terrorists also have the key. We confronted them and began asking questions on camera, and they nearly murdered us for it. When the police finally arrived, they arrested Andrey and me and charged us with assault.
The gate is still locked.

I propose the government launch a new scheme called the Bharat Army Quality Works Amendment Scheme (BAQWAS).
Under BAQWAS, the government should take over all golf courses (or ,"environmental park and training areas") of the armed forces.
Then they should build Theaters on them, where people can go and watch films and plays.
With this we can achieve Theaterization of the Armed Forces.
There is no problem that cannot be solved by BAQWAS.

After a massive increase in power sector entities’ expenditure and all the reforms and efforts being claimed by the Ministry of Power, the combined financial impact of loss inefficiency and under-recovery is still Rs. 326 billion, almost the same level as FY 2022-23.
Rs 2711 billion have been wasted in last 10 years.....
Meanwhile, significantly more solar has been installed in last 3 years which also helped in reducing losses , including in high-theft areas, and load-shedding in high-loss areas has become much more severe.
So where are the efficiency gains? Where is the money being spent, and what measurable improvement has it delivered?
Until the Ministry provides year-wise expenditure, units sold, physical losses and recovery data, these claims of a turnaround are simply not convincing.
Billions spent, extraordinary efforts claimed, but where is the structural improvement?
Anyone who wishes to see how FBR 'facilitates' SMEs should try to obtain a Sales Tax registration for an AOP particularly if it has anything to do with manufacturing. Just try & you'd be pulling your hair out in frustration within a few weeks.
Pakistan needs to reduce the regulatory burden on SMEs, not increase it. SECP, FBR and other government agencies should facilitate businesses rather than impose ever-growing compliance requirements.
In the US, private companies are generally not required to undergo annual statutory audits. Why must Pakistan burden its private companies with costly audits, filings and procedural requirements?

🔻Almost a year ago I signed a settlement agreement to leave Radboud University in the Netherlands, following ten months in which they harassed me in relation to my speech against the genocide of the Palestinian people.
I said I would donate the settlement to causes that further Palestinian liberation. I have now received the money and done so, and want to share the causes in the hope that others donate as well.
I gave over half to both The Sameer Project in Gaza (thesameerproject.org/), and Tanseqeye Shaabeye (The Popular Committee) in Lebanon (instagram.com/tanseqeye_shaa…), two on the ground initiatives, run by Palestinians and Lebanese people who refuse to disconnect providing material relief to displaced families from the political project of liberation from Zionism.
I donated part to @MomodouTaal and @tjAmandla two wonderful black scholars who are being punished by Cornell University for escaping the US to prevent being kidnapped by ICE over their Palestine activism (chuffed.org/project/200834-s…).
Finally, I donated part to activist communities in the Netherlands that are working hard to end Dutch complicity in the Zionist project.
I'd like to thank Radboud University for funding these important initiatives. I hope Radboud and all universities do so, so much more to end their complicity with Zionism.
