Asymmetric organocatalysis existed long before the 1990s (e.g. Hajos-Parrish reaction) and there was then key early work from Denmark, Jacobsen, Corey, Miller etc. But the Nobel goes to those who conceptualised & built the field - List & McMillan.

While there can never be a perfect level of Justice given in response to Big Floyd's life being taken, I hope his family finds some form of peace in this verdict.
