🇷🇺 🇺🇬 On October 23, an archival and documentary exhibition titled «The role of the USSR/RUSSIA in Africa liberation and development» opened in Uganda.
The event, held at Makerere University in Kampala, was organized by the Russian State University for the Humanities with the support of the Russian Embassy in Uganda and the Rosinka Association of Russian-speaking Women in Uganda.

#Makerere Hosts Exhibition: Role of the USSR/Russia in Uganda's Liberation
VC @ProfNawangwe hosted H.E. Sergey Lobanov, Head of Mission of the Embassy of Russia in Uganda(@RusEmbUganda), and officials from the Ministries of Education and Sports(@Educ_SportsUg), and Foreign Affairs(@UgandaMFA ) for an exhibition on the role of the USSR/Russia in Uganda's Liberation.
Organised by the Department of History, Archaeology & Heritage Studies, @MakerereCHUSS, the exhibition was officially opened by H.E. Lobanov.
@ProfNawangwe described Makerere as the ideal venue, noting that the university has hosted and documented many debates on Uganda’s past and future. He highlighted Russia’s support for African liberation, saying the exhibition’s archival photographs and documents show how the Soviet Union, and later Russia, related to the struggle.
Representatives from the Ministries of Education & Sports, and Foreign Affairs commended the exhibition for illuminating the liberation struggle and Makerere’s lasting contribution to Africa’s freedom and development.

This week, I commissioned military facilities and equipment at Kalama, Entebbe, Kalangalo and Magamaga under our defence cooperation with Russia.
I thank President Putin and the Russian people for this support, including the $53 million mechanised repair facility at Magamaga. We must not only acquire good equipment but also learn to maintain, repair and eventually manufacture it here. I have encouraged our military to embrace science and technology, including AI and automation, to strengthen our defence capabilities.
Our cooperation with Russia should help us build local capacity, protect our sovereignty and strengthen our ability to defend Uganda.

🗓 From October 26 to November 1, the first International Space Games (ISG) will take place at the Skolkovo Innovation Center in Moscow.
This is Russia's largest international team-based engineering and educational project, organized with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the State Space Corporation Roscosmos as part of the federal project «Personnel for Space».
ISG are a large-scale team-based engineering and educational competition that brings together students and experts to simulate a mission of exploration to the planets in the Solar System.
The overall goal of ISG is to train specialists in key areas for the space industry: from energy and robotics to artificial intelligence and life support biotechnologies.

The discussion focused on the prospects of Russian-Ugandan cooperation in the energy sector, including collaboration in nuclear energy, the oil and gas sector, and electrification.

2 октября в зале приема посетителей консульского отдела Посольства России в Уганде открылась выставка «Обыкновенный нацизм», посвящённая истории возникновения и развития украинского варианта нацизма с момента его зарождения и до наших дней.
Экспозиция посвящена более 200 экспонатам, свидетельствующим о зверствах украинских националистов в годы Второй мировой войны, а также о массовых преступлениях и терроре их современных последователей против жителей Украины в 2014–2022 годах.
В выставку вошли материалы из фондов Музея Победы, Донецкого республиканского краеведческого музея, Российского государственного архива социально-политической истории, а также специального проекта РИА Новости «Донбасс. Геноцид 2014–2022».

On October 2, an exhibition titled «Ordinary Nazism» dedicated to the rise of the Ukrainian variant of Nazism from its origins to the present day has opened in the reception hall of the Consular Section of the Russian Embassy in Uganda.
The exposition features more than 200 exhibits that testify the atrocities committed by Ukrainian nationalists during World War II, as well as the mass crimes and terror perpetrated by their modern-day followers against the people of Ukraine in 2014-2022.
The exhibition includes materials from the Victory Museum's collection, the Donetsk Republican Museum of Local Lore, the Russian State Archive of Socio-Political History, as well as a special RIA Novosti project «Donbass. Genocide 2014–2022».

🗓 On October 31 — November 3, 2026, the Moscow’s Timiryazev Centre Educational and Exhibition Complex will host the National Abilympics Professional Skills Championship for Persons with Disabilities.
The event is organized with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and the Presidential Platform «Russia — the Country of Opportunities».
The Championship program includes competitions in 50 professional competencies, as well as open competitions with the participation of partner states in 8 competencies.
Participants will also be offered an extensive business, cultural, career guidance, sports and exhibition programme, with international experts taking part in the events.
