I’m still waiting for the day verbatim learns to play SF cause it would be so fucking funny if he was actually good.
Castlevania discourse got me thinking about metroidvania bosses and who the best ones of all time are and I’m finding it hard to put any above this stupid fucking cat.
A lot of people responding to that tweet with just crime statistics in various countries and completely missing the point that every race commits every crime and if you think some countries lower crime statistics is a result of their inherent moral differences you’re an idiot.
No see guys you don’t get it the Japanese are just a morally superior society built on following rules unlike other countries. That’s why they have female only train cars and their phone cameras can’t be silenced. They’re just better.
To be serious about the Tekken 6 discourse for a moment: I’ve seen a number of tweets about “Japanese FGC” aura loss or how much one’s opinion on the “Japanese FGC” has dropped due to this, and yes the racist language on both sides is ugly, but all of you are saying “Japanese FGC” when you really mean Japanese society. The reason you come visit the country and tweet about how everything is so nice is the same reason you are so upset right now - people following rules, regardless of how nonsensical or outdated they seem.
I grew up in America where rules are generally treated like suggestions, so it was incredibly frustrating when I first moved here and couldn’t understand why people wouldn’t make exceptions or bend rules to help me out for things that I thought were minor. It was just me constantly asking “Why??” and getting told, “That’s just how it is,” with no room for discussion. I thought I knew better and things should be changed to be more convenient for me, but after adjusting my thinking and seeing how everyone followed these same rules, it made living here so much more comfortable - it’s why I’ve chosen to stay for 15+ years.
Now OBVIOUSLY I am not saying no one in Japan breaks rules, but it’s understood that if you get caught then no one is going to be there defending you. That’s where this whole issue comes from - you are not going to convince anyone on Twitter that “This rule is dumb, I'm going to ignore it.” If you’re gonna do it, then do it - but no amount of justification will make it acceptable in the eyes of most people here.
So yes, this is a complex issue, but it is not the “Japanese FGC” you are dealing with, it's Japan’s rule-based society as a whole. It’s been very interesting and pretty nostalgic to watch from the sidelines.
As for my stance: No comment 😇
Cyberpunk season 2 immediate reaction is that it’s not as good as s1 but it’s thematically more interesting/deeper and I might like it more as i think about it.

true ending done, games pretty solid. bosses a little too easy and game has issues with visual clutter in some fights but its a nice little castlevania game.
“It doesn’t feel like castlevania”
I’m in a castle hunting Dracula with a whip and killing haunted suits of armor. There’s literally ONE game it could be.
The funniest thing about Arjun imo is that he’s a terrible character but sf6 made a bad batch of fg players and now I gotta watch the same clip 400 times where someone doesn’t parry a 40f move and then presses a button 80f into a flex animation.
dogura made me try elena shes kind of upsetting cause shes playing a different much better game than most of the characters. good design
People say literally anything. This clip is literally just sf6 gameplay where the hits do less damage, require confirms, and no one went green. The oki and neutral interactions were basically exactly the same. You’re just talking to talk if you say this is boring after 30 seconds
