Normalize calling dumbass questions disrespectful.
Ken Rosenthal: “was it important to win one just to show you’re on this level?” I’m so glad Taylor Walls laughed and told him it was disrespectful. Rosenthal knows what he was asking. We get it - the MLB media thinks the Brewers are amazing! #RaysUp

I'm planting my flag atop this hill and I'm not budging. The 24-team College Football Playoff is awesome! And I'm here to stand in opposition to decades of gaslighting leading fans to believe an acutal playoff would ruin the "sacred" regular season when the exact opposite is true. College football games are awesome because we love college football, not because of the playoff implications. Army-Navy hasn't been nationally relevant since black and white TV, but we watch because we love it! Now, we will get better games with more of them carrying actual postseason weight. And instead of relying on a group of self-important nerds in a hotel ballroom debating defensive efficiency metrics to tell us who is worthy of entry, we will have actual games on the field to determine outcomes. They told you the BCS would ruin college football. They told you a four-team CFP would do the same. Rinse and repeat with 12. Now 24. We all still love college football just as much as we did when they told you how awesome it was to win the Car Quest Bowl. I know roughly 1% of you will agree with this, but overcoming decades of brainwashing is difficult. This is a great thing for our sport.

If/when the objective swing definition comes to MLB, PCA will have been vindicated

No disrespect to Kevin McGonigle, but this should be much closer. Parker Messick is in running to be a Cy Young finalist on a contender. Only higher K/BB by a rookie with 180+ innings was Don Sutton. Last rookie to log 30 starts with 2.60 or lower ERA was Dwight Gooden in '84.

Here’s a clip of Gronk’s injury in 2015 that ended up being a Grade 1 knee strain. He pounded the ground, rolled around, and yelled for 2 minutes. He only missed ONE game. This was your reaction, @stoolpresidente.

Let me tell you what kind of guy Pete Alonso is. We got to meet him last night. My wife starts telling him about her mom - 85 years old, just got out of the hospital, still keeps a scorecard. Biggest Orioles fan you will ever meet. When you call her, she doesn’t have time. “What do you want, Michelle? I’m watching the Orioles. So Pete says can I send her a message. Can I use your phone?” Of course he could. That’s the Polar Bear. Home runs are one thing. This is why people love him.

It's tough to find similar plays (no two are the same), but here's a visual for you... Justin Crawford and PCA had to cover the exact same distance in the same time and direction on these plays. And they both have the same top sprint speed. One looks like a routine catch and the other a routine double:
PCA sprints then glides to snag this Luis Lara liner in the gap without getting his uniform dirty. 55% catch probability on this ball, easily the lowest % ball caught in the Brewers/Cubs game yesterday:

Brad Thompson says that Rockies manager Warren Schaeffer had words with Doug Eddings prior to the game. Eddings told pool reporters that Hunter Goodman asked about Rincon's hat last night. "And some of the Rockies players on their dugout bench had their caps turned sideways as a silent form of protest too" #stlcards
