Happy to share the results of @RehamAlsaadi_ & @Mizala who uncovered a really cool mechanism linking Salmonella infection to the suppression of #autophagy receptor FAM134B.
The ER-phagy receptor FAM134B is targeted by Salmonella Typhimurium to promote infection dlvr.it/T4q5SZ

Excellent, next time we make competent cells we will try substituting this method and buffer to compare

Very cool, any guesstimate on efficiency?

Agreed, arrayed glycerol would be the best for long term usage and targeted application(primarily using a subset of cassettes). Counterpoint, for an individual lab that wants to dabble, arrayed plasmid DNA (~10rxn) would lower the barrier to start.

Very thankful for @SRC_CRS and donor support for our new high risk/high reward research that leverages system biology techniques developed with @GEMb_uOttawa, to uncover new weaknesses in common cancers affecting Canadians. @OISB_IBSO @uOttawaMed

Good question. International applicants are not eligible for the research assistant position, but are eligible for the graduate student position. Thanks for reminder to add that to the ad!
