RIP to the great Walter Koenig, responsible for this amazing bit of comedy with the late Nichelle Nichols from Star Trek IV.
In 1899, Max Planck combined three constants - gravity, the speed of light, and his own constant - and got a length of 10⁻³⁵ meters. A distance so small that trying to observe it creates a black hole. Two independent proofs converge on the same number - the scale where spacetime itself stops being measurable and every quantum computing qubit, every LLM latent space, and every physics simulation on GPU clusters hits the same fundamental wall.
To see smaller you need higher energy. But energy curves spacetime - push enough into a Planck-sized region and the Schwarzschild radius swallows the observation behind an event horizon. The generalized uncertainty principle confirms it from the opposite direction: delta x hits a minimum then starts growing. Both paths land on 1.6 x 10⁻³⁵ meters. To reach it you'd need a collider 4,000 light years across. String theory says the fundamental building blocks are vibrating strings at exactly this scale - and gravity falls out of the equations naturally, not added by hand.
30 minutes. Bookmark & watch today. The length where physics itself stops working.

OJ Simpson as terminator would have been disappointing
Arnold Schwarzenegger killed that role to perfection
Maybe OJ could have been one of the villian terminators

That Gen Z is the first generation that is dumber than its predecessors is no longer an opinion. It is scientifically established, as is the cause.

Texas and Arch way too many missed reads. Way too many open, simple completions passed up trying to play hero ball. Way too many times his eyes are in the wrong place. While he has spectacular plays every week, his inability to sustain the routine plays and reads is extremely concerning.

Outrageously close to reality. Never seen it visualized like this.
In the most pure form of plasma cosmology, there is a micro-essence to even subatomic particles.
FYI- A down quark is two up quarks and an electron. Positron antimatter is all around us just elusive. We have no clue about the character of the smallest particle of energy.
Every chemistry teacher you had lied a little. The hydrogen atom isn’t a frozen blob, it’s this.
This is hydrogen, the simplest atom there is, with its probability current drawn as moving particles. The small shape in the corner is the orbital you were taught. The swirling field is what the Pauli equation says is flowing through it.
Orange spins one way, blue the other. Even the ground state, the one textbooks call perfectly still, carries a current, because the electron’s spin adds a flow of its own.
None of this is an electron racing on a track. It’s the math of where it’s likely to be, and that math refuses to sit still.

Should Steve Sarkisian show Arch Manning the door if he wants to return to Texas next season?
@joelklatt: "I don't want any part of that situation. That's the most precarious situation in the country."

Arch Manning's high ceiling and low floor are problematic for Texas.
