Kate spoke of the need to “encourage children these days to slow down because their world is so fast-paced now - it’s getting them to notice things.” The princess got stuck into a clay workshop, and saw how the centre uses light and colour sensory techniques to engage children

#Evidence2025 establishes itself as the strategic crossroads for #EIDM optimisation in Africa. We are at the heart of this institutional transformation. @rhona_ona, the #AENChair, urged delegates to break down barriers, bridge gaps, and prioritise evidence-based practices in the #EIDM sector. She emphasised the value of collaboration, citing African proverbs that highlight the importance of working together to achieve long-term goals. Noting that individual efforts may yield quick results, she pointed out that collective efforts lead to a lasting impact.

Join the movement shaping #AfricanEIDM! Hear from @K_Atengble, the Executive Director of @PACKS_Africa on #Evidence2023's transformative impact: "Serving as Co-Chair of #Evidence2023 was both an honour and a transformative experience for me. The event brought together such a rich diversity of voices from across Africa and beyond, all committed to advancing evidence-informed decision-making. What stood out most was not just the scale of participation, but the spirit of co-creation, which is a reminder that building evidence systems is a collective endeavour. Even today, I find myself drawing on the lessons and connections from #Evidence2023. Collaborations sparked in those conversations continue to shape my work, particularly in strengthening capacities for evidence use across government, civil society, and research institutions. The emphasis on inclusivity and the practical sharing of tools have given me new ways to frame capacity development in my ongoing projects. Looking back, #Evidence2023 was more than just an event; it was a catalyst. It deepened my appreciation for the AEN as a platform that bridges boundaries, crossing countries, sectors, and languages. The impact still resonates, and it makes me even more excited to see how #Evidence2025 will build on this momentum in Benin." Passion, Purpose, and Collaboration: Insights from a Transformative Experience! Dr. @justnumah reflects on #Evidence2023 as a pivotal moment that highlighted the power of passion, purpose, and collaboration in driving impactful work in the evidence ecosystem. "Evidence 2023 was a transformative milestone in my career, reinforcing that roles in the evidence ecosystem are not mere responsibilities but meaningful journeys that flourish when anchored in passion for impact, purpose, and collaboration. A key lesson was the importance of aligning institutional mandates, capacity building, and personal commitment to strengthen Africa’s evidence ecosystem. Engaging with peers and thought leaders was a great learning for me as I picked practicable lessons to implement. Winning the 2023 AELA was humbling and challenging. It did not only recognise my past contributions but reshaped my career trajectory, inspiring me to advance EIDM through targeted research, grants, capacity building and serving as a mentor for the @AfricaAEYL an opportunity to give back to the network by inspiring young minds. Most importantly, the life-long connections I made at EVIDENCE 2023 have significantly shaped my career journey, sustaining my commitment to driving societal change through EIDM with renewed clarity." The Future of Evidence is Bright: Get Ready for #Evidence2025! Prof @RuthS3, founding chair of the @Africa_evidence, described #Evidence2023 in Uganda as a highlight of the year, and she's excitedly anticipating an even more impactful #Evidence2025 in Benin. "Evidence 2023 was an absolute highlight for me. It was great to have this event hosted in Uganda for the first time and to welcome many new participants as a result. Evidence 2025 in Benin promises to be even bigger and better. Having the newly formed @AfricaAEYL as part of #Evidence2023 was so exciting. Africa is a continent that belongs to young people, and these young leaders brought energy, ideas and leadership to our growing evidence community. #Evidence2023 attracted participants from beyond Africa to a greater extent than ever before. When I spoke to colleagues attending from the US, Australia, and Europe, they all described #Evidence2023 as the highlight of their year. Indeed, many told me it was the best evidence conference they had ever attended. For attendees of #Evidence2025, whether in person or online, I can guarantee this event will be fresh air and inspiration for their evidence journeys going forward. This is a meeting that you cannot afford not to join. I won’t be there in person this year, but I look forward to seeing many of you online." Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to shape the future of evidence - mark your calendars for #Evidence2025 in Benin and join the conversation: shorturl.at/4I9IL.
