I grew up in a southern baptist church. Yes, I know. In the 2000s, there was an active debate at that church--people LEFT over this--about whether or not a divorced man could be a deacon, because the biblical guidelines for deacons included the phrase "husband of one wife."

Empathy burnout is so real right now. I care immensely about so many things, but I just do NOT have the bandwidth to get involved, join more chats and more committees, donate more money, go to more meetings and more demonstrations...it's just SO MUCH on top of simply existing.
