The Ballon d’Or is a sham, as are the rest of the awards as they’re just popularity contests. Just take last years Women’s Ballon d’Or for example. Mariona or Russo should have won it yet for some bizarre reason Bonmati won it and no one has ever been able to explain why. Take the Lev Yashin Trophy as well, David Raya is the only goalkeeper deserving of that award this year, yet I guarantee it will be given to some dosser that plays in La Liga.
