Here is the long awaited shout out from Kentucky!

Is anyone else tired of all the political adds on TV like I am? They wouldn’t be so bad if the candidates would just tell me what they could possibly do for the people if they are elected. All I hear from them is a lot of mud slinging at one another It doesn’t matter to me. In every situation, I just want the best person for the office to win. More importantly, I want God to have His hand on all who represent us so this country is a shining light for His glory. If you vote on Tuesday, make sure the candidates align with your values. I never get too political with my posts I just thought I’d share a few things to consider. Have an amazing Sunday, and remember to pray for our country this week. 🤔☺️

I haven’t seen a lot of action on my posts here lately, but I know at least a few of my friends still see me here, so I keep showing up and posting. I got an email from X this afternoon introducing some new subscription plans. I’m wondering if this email went out to everyone. All of the plans talked about some level of access to Groc, and all of this stuff that it can now do for me. I’ve never used Groc, or any form of AI on this platform, and I’m not going to start now. Frankly, it scares me a little bit when I see some of you all using it. What happened to the days when we could just talk to each other and exchange original ideas? As a Christian, it feels a little creepy to me, because it makes me feel like I’m interacting with a demon I can’t see me changing my plan at this point. Being able to write longer posts was the main reason I wanted to get verified in the first place, so I think I’ll just keep things as they are and keep doing my thing here. I’d love to know what you guys are thinking about these new features and functions. What uses do you see for these new options? Maybe I’m wrong or just a little bit old school. I’m just not one to like computers, or their devices doing my thinking for me. AI taking over the world doesn’t necessarily seem like a good idea to me. I’m sure it has its place and offers some benefits, but where do you draw the line? These are just some of my Thursday night thoughts. 🤔

It’s another beautiful day here in Kentucky I think I’m getting spoiled with all this nice weather this late in October. It would be nice if it could just stay this way all winter. It keeps me smiling for sure! Wherever you are in the world, I hope your day is as picture perfect as mine is. 😎

Happy Sunday friends! It has been a good weekend. We made it out to church this morning, and the weather has been great for several days, considering that we are nearing the end of October. I’ve been spending a lot of time outside with my dogs. They love it too! We have to enjoy it while we can. I hope y’all have a good week. I just needed to get on here and say hi to you guys. I know I always say it, but I sure enjoy reading your posts. Keep them coming! You all know how to put a bunch of smiles on this guy’s face. It’s really nice to be here with friends old and new. WWJD? That is the question for every situation in life. If those of us who call ourselves Christians would keep this in mind, this world might be a kinder gentler place to live in. I know it’s easier said than done sometimes, but it is always a good thing to remember. For those who don’t know, WWJD stands for what would Jesus do. When the world looks at you, do they see Jesus? I sure want people to see Him living in and through me. I’m not perfect when it comes to this, but I hope He shines through me when it matters most. 😁

I’m going to miss baseball when it’s over next week. My Cleveland Guardians had a great run this season. I’m looking forward to watching the W.S., and I predict that The Brewers will sweep it 😎

Let me just share a life lesson with you guys that I had to learn the hard way. Stepping on a chocolate chip in your bare feet really hurts. Here’s the story I was snacking on a granola bar before I went to bed last night. A little chocolate chip fell off of it, and I didn’t know where it went until I got up from the table and took a step. Remember that I don’t see well, so I didn’t see it on the floor, but I found it with my foot. What I took away from this experience is that it’s not a good idea to eat stuff like that in the kitchen with no shoes on if you can’t tell where the chips fall. I just wanted to share this bit of wisdom because I thought it might bring a smile to somebody’s day. It’s ok to laugh too. I don’t usually take life too seriously, and I often laugh at myself. After it quit hurting, I thought it was funny. 😄

It’s another beautiful day here in Kentucky and I’ve been spending time outside with my dogs enjoying God’s creation. It’s a great mood booster! Hello all! It has been a rainy cool day here in Kentucky I think we are starting to get the remnants of the hurricane I’m praying for everyone in the path of the storm. On another note, game 5 of the ALDS is this evening so I’m also praying for a Guardians win so they can keep playing. Chicago fans, please don’t hate me for saying that. I don’t dislike your team I just want to see my favorite team get all the way to the finish line. I hope all is well with all who see this. Thanks for taking the time to read my thoughts Go Guardians! ☺️

I was glad to see my Cleveland Guardians get a much needed win in the baseball playoffs today. They finally came alive and played well. Now they live to fight another day. I’m hoping to see their best effort again tomorrow 😎

Hey friends! Happy Sunday! I’ve had a pretty good weekend, and I hope you did too. This morning I got to sing with the worship team at church again. We didn’t sing anything new, so I don’t have any videos to share. It was just fun to be up there singing and worshiping with my friends and church family. It was probably the highlight of my weekend. Anytime I can be a part of something that points people to Jesus it makes me happy. I hope you all have a great week. Find something to be thankful for for every day. It’s easy if you try. ☺️❤️

Happy Wednesday friends! I’ve got the house to myself for a few hours today. My wife had to go in to her office. I told her I was going to have some invisible women over for a party. Of course she knows I’m joking. She always asks me if they came over why didn’t they clean the house. I couldn’t do it for real. The dogs would tell on me. They both like to talk. Happy Monday friends! We have much to be thankful for today, and much to lift up in prayer. I challenge you to do a little of both some time in your day. I notice that when I focus my thoughts on something other than myself, it tends to lift my spirits. Also I’ve heard that thankful people are happy people. It’s hard to be sad when your thoughts are focused on your blessings. Have a great day, and we will get through this week together. 😎

Several of my mutuals used to host Spaces here on X, but it has been a while since I’ve seen anyone posting anything about them. Are they not as popular as they use to be, or am I just missing them. I’d love to join some of them and talk to you guys. It would be fun to support you guys if you are doing them. Also, is it just me, or are some of you noticing some of your favorite mutuals missing from your timeline again lately? Sorry for the longer than usual post, but I’ve been thinking about these things for a few days and haven’t had time to write them all out. Thank you all for your friendships. I still love the community I have been able to grow here. There are certainly people who used to be here regularly that I am missing, and some who have passed away, but I’m thankful for all who have stuck around. Hey friends! I just wanted to thank all of you who responded to my post about our big anniversary yesterday. So many of you commented and liked the post that it was hard to keep up with all of it. Just know that I appreciate all of your thoughtfulness and kind words. It makes me want to share good news with you all every day. I’m very thankful to have connected with so many uplifting people here. I’m looking forward to seeing what year number 26 of marriage brings our way. I just want to say happy 25th anniversary to my wife, Stephanie. She is not on X, but she has stuck with me all these years, so I hope to make it at least 25 more with her. She is a keeper. I know that not everyone makes it to this milestone, so I feel very blessed I just wanted you guys to know that we are celebrating something rare and wonderful today. Love you bunches! 💕
