GET MAX
I had to destroy the person I was to rebuild the person I’m becoming.
I’ve always been easily influenced by other people’s opinions, to the point where I lose sight of what I actually want. I got so caught up in what others thought was right for me that I forgot to stop, listen to myself, and make my own decisions.
I went through a period where I lost myself in temporary escapes but left me feeling even more empty afterward. I noticed that I kept finding myself in the same situations over and over again, but I didn’t care enough to change. I’m not proud of everything I did, but I don’t want to run from it either. It’s part of the person I was.
Maybe that’s what I’m learning now to stop letting other people shape who I’m supposed to be and start becoming someone I actually choose to be. I’m still putting the pieces back together, but this time, I want to build a life that’s truly mine.
