We spent Labor Day weekend camping in our travel trailer with good friends! Good weekend filled with laughter and friendship as we made more camping memories!

Going through old papers, we found a handwritten letter one of my favorite J.P. Elder MS teachers sent my parents in January 1980. Knowing my teacher sent it and my parents saved it deeply moved me. I loved seeing them proud of us. Dad often said: “El que sabe más, vale más.” – at Fort Worth, TX

Brief but fun weekend with our friends at “Camp Kirkpop” (leased spot along the Brazos River we have affectionately named in honor of our amigo Kirk). Kudos to Elizabeth, Denise, & Kirk for preparing our space for the upcoming Labor Day weekend.

Our camping adventures took us to Camp QYB in Runaway Bay on Lake Bridgeport. We stayed at the Lake House & enjoyed the amenities on the property. We also ventured into town & visited Historic Halsell St. in downtown Bridgeport. We love camping & exploring Texas!

A well deserved victory for Spain in the World Cup Final! They defeat defending champion Argentina 1-0. Nothing like watching futbol with familia and friends. But siempre estaremos con El Tri (Team Mexico). Viva el futbol!

Our travels through Norway & the Netherlands showed us how well transit can work: density, frequent routes, easy-to-use apps, real-time information, walkable communities, & friendly service. We returned home inspired—and took TEXRail from DFW Airport toward Fort Worth. 🚆🚌🚶
