South Australia's ambulance union is sounding the alarm on the ramping crisis, stating that “August will prove to be the worst month on record due to insufficient hospital capacity, insufficient available crews and no clear policy to end ramping”. It comes after a horror day for ambulance crews across Adelaide yesterday with some patients told that no one was available to come and treat them. Releasing a photo of the conditions at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, the Ambulance Employees Association has taken aim at the Malinauskas government, calling for “band-aid measures” to stop.
