He must go home
As South Africa's relationship with the United States hits its lowest point since 1994, there is a growing call in Pretoria to replace US ambassador to South Africa Leo Brent Bozell III.
Bozell's tenure has coincided with a rapid escalation in tensions between US and South Africa
📌 In September, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced targeted visa restrictions against South African officials accused of enabling uncompensated land seizures and race-based discrimination.
📌 On November 2, Bozell announced South Africa's removal from AGOA from January 1, 2027, calling it "predictable and preventable" and blaming Pretoria for rejecting Washington's "Five Asks" on expropriation, B-BBEE, rural crime, Afrikaner refugees and the "Kill the Boer" chant.
📌 In interviews with Fox News Digital, Bozell accused President Cyril Ramaphosa of failing to condemn what he called incitement to kill: "You've got a president of South Africa who refuses to condemn an incitement to kill."
Should Bozell go? What are your thoughts?

This seems like a backfire for the Afrikaners, we see them crying on the TL.
Well, there’s a misunderstanding in Trump’s decision. The same Farmers he claims are being persecuted are the same ones he is now persecuting via AGOA.
America is doing bad things to SA white farmers
It is regrettable that South African policies led to the termination of AGOA for South Africa. This was a predictable and preventable outcome resulting from the rejection by South Africa's government of real concerns raised by the U.S. Government. I remain hopeful that we can find a path forward to address our larger bilateral concerns, but the South African government must understand the gravity of the situation. We know that if America succeeds, so too will South Africa. This is the partnership I will continue to pursue as expeditiously as possible.

[WATCH LIVE] ANC POST MEDIUM-TERM BUDGET POLICY STATEMENT REACTION teapaw.org/i/broadcasts/1qKDzWkmw…

Madam Mayor, leave Brink out of this. 408 residents mostly young children fell ill after your administration supplied unchlorinated water from the Bronkhorstspruit plant for weeks without warning the public.
That is a failure under your watch. Take responsibility. This is a real-life public-health crisis, not social media.
A four-page statement seeking sympathy votes is not going to work. Address the issue at hand and stop deflecting.
The opposition did its job by pointing out the failures. Are they supposed to cheer while 400+ people fall ill from your water supply?
Go fix the road baba
The operation continues in Kanana Informal Settlement, where City Power teams traced a second transformer cable along Hlanganani Street through the settlement. They found the transformer hidden deep between residential houses.
Because of where it sits, the transformer is exposed to further illegal connections. Teams disconnected the medium-voltage (MV) fuses so that no one can connect to it without authorisation, protecting City Power's infrastructure.
Go fix the road in Selby connecting people from Soweto to CBD chief and save businesses
The work is happening, and residents can see it. New pedestrian sidewalks are being built in Pimville Zone 9, giving the community safer and more accessible streets to walk, move and connect.
This is the Complete Streets approach in action. We are building neighbourhood streets around people, not just vehicles, and we are delivering it street by street. Pimville, we said we would fix your roads, and we are getting it done.
Please go and fix the sinkhole Cnr Hans Pirrow Street and John Street, Selby instead of giving tenders for road barricades
As the ANC leading Johannesburg's coalition government, we have not hidden from the problems. We have faced them. I have stood with residents when the taps ran dry, when the lights went out, when roads were broken and refuse piled up. I know these frustrations because I see them every day, and I will not insult anyone by pretending they are not real.
What I bring to this debate is not a wish list. It is a plan built from the inside, by people who know where the pipes leak, where the money goes and what it takes to fix it.
Can’t even fix half a km of road!!
Investing in Johannesburg’s infrastructure requires sufficient capital and long-term planning. Over the past year, we have continued to invest in critical infrastructure, including the rehabilitation of 84 kilometres of road infrastructure.
Municipal revenue from rates, taxes and the sale of water and electricity cannot always meet the scale of the city’s infrastructure needs. Responsible borrowing, within National Treasury’s regulatory framework, therefore plays an important role in financing capital projects and addressing the infrastructure backlog.
Our focus remains on mobilising the resources needed to rebuild, modernise and maintain Johannesburg’s infrastructure while strengthening service delivery for our residents.
Dear @CityofJoburgZA @DadaMorero how is it possible that you have failed to fix the sinkhole on Hans Pirrow and John street for years?
Instead of fixing it, you always bring heavy equipment to block the roads.
Business around that area are dying!!! @MYANC @GautengANC

We will continue to engage with those who have elected us to lead them. Engage them with respect, honesty and clarity 🙏🏾🇿🇦❤️.
@MYANC remains the most consistent to serve communities equitably and advocating especially for pro-poor policies.
The more you comment the more foolish you look.
You are attacking the wrong party here Chief, but then, that’s how far your mind can go.
The Constitutional Court gave a directive to the Home Affairs (not DA). There’s no proof that the applicants would have received documents
ActionSA welcomes the withdrawal of the Department of Home Affairs’ reckless directive that sought to compel Refugee Reception Offices to accept asylum applications from undocumented persons who entered South Africa illegally. This marks yet another failure by the DA’s Minister of Home Affairs to demonstrate the leadership required to address South Africa’s immigration crisis.
We believe that the directive should never have been issued in the first place and while its withdrawal is a necessary correction, it does nothing to resolve the broader failure of the GNU to fix our broken immigration system. - Lerato Ngobeni MP

Well, As happy as we may be about the fact that Home Affairs has withdrawn its move. The fact still stands, there’s thousands of mostly men from various countries who are in the country illegally with no record of their existence that the Constitutional Court wants documented. 😭
The Department of Home Affairs has withdrawn the directive to start the process of going through all asylum seeker applicants including illegal immigrants…
One of the reasons stated is that they are overwhelmed by the number of people who are applying… But everytime when we marched and I said it every single time that we have MILLIONS of Illegal immigrants living in the country, dozens of so called scholars said I’m making up the numbers, there aren’t that many ‼️‼️
So now do you guys understand what the purpose of education is? It’s not dismiss something because you think it’s unreal, it’s to determine if it exists and if it exists what are the pros and cons and then if there’s a problem determine what could be the solutions BEFORE it escalates!! So nobody is against education or educated people but if their education seeks to feed into already pre conceived or existing thoughts and ideas and doesn’t provide solutions, then what use is it???
We need to have PhD holders that can forsee such things and be able to make recommendations and a government that is willing to listen and implement with a clear sense of urgency‼️‼️
