🚨 There's nothing funny about normalizing misogyny.
The words we normalize shape the attitudes we tolerate.

The Violence Against Women Act was changed in 2013 from protecting women to anyone who "identifies" as a woman.
@TheHRHiggins and @carrielukas say the next VAWA reauthorization should change that.

That is not true. Sen. Leahy of Vermont, former chairman of the Senate judiciary, changed the language of VAWA so biological male victims of DV could also receive help. His language said nothing about helping anyone who “identifies” as a woman.

She calls men the “secondary sex,” suited to “drone-type tasks” supporting women. That’s male subordination dressed up as evolutionary biology.
Her claim that men aren’t leaders fails even on her own examples. Military units and athletic teams have male leaders. Being able to follow a hierarchy doesn’t mean being incapable of leading.
