GoFundMe removals of conservative-linked campaigns - Freedom Convoy (2022): Cited law-enforcement reports of violence, harassment, and an “occupation” violating terms against promoting violence/harassment. Funds refunded after backlash. - Kyle Rittenhouse legal defense (2020): Policy ban on raising money for the legal defense of someone charged with a violent crime. Ban lifted after acquittal. - Sweet Cakes by Melissa bakers (2015): Involved “formal charges” and “discriminatory acts” after they declined a same-sex wedding cake on religious grounds. Policy later expanded to cover such claims. - Arlene’s Flowers florist (2015): Same “discriminatory acts” terms violation for refusing flowers for a same-sex wedding. - “Puberty is not a medical condition” billboard campaign (2020): Removed for violating user rules (promoted Abigail Shrier’s *Irreversible Damage*). - Support for Vancouver Rape Relief (biological-women-only center, 2021): Taken down; linked to “Super Straight” donors and gender-policy conflicts. - Anti-mask mandate campaign (Alaska, 2020): Generic terms-of-service violation (content questioning mask science). - Texas nurse anti-vaccine-mandate lawsuit (2021): Suspended for “misinformation” after page updates. - ASU conservative students harassed on campus (2021): Removed for alleged “prohibited conduct” (fundraiser for students with “Police Lives Matter” sticker and anti-Biden shirt). GoFundMe says all decisions follow its “Terms of Service (hate, violence, discrimination, misinformation, violent-crime defense, etc.).” Critics point to uneven enforcement versus left-leaning causes.
