In 1968, R. C. Majumdar warned against turning Indian history into an instrument of political ideology. His message was stark: a nation cannot build its future on historical falsehood. Here is his FULL, UNEDITED SPEECH. youtu.be/t92ejqqywbY

Mallu comrades like EMS Namboodiripad were open supporters of league and Pakistan and later on China as well during 1962. Despite that he was elected as first CM of Kerala with help of comrades and Muslims. There is no maturity in endorsing Jinnah. It is like saying that it is mature to endorse Hitler because he was leader of German nation. You can fool Mallu Hindus with your rhetoric but we aren’t stupid.

I’ve been a strong critic of Muhammad Ismail’s decision to revive the Muslim League in independent India. But as a Malabari Muslim, I can tell you that the creation of Pakistan was never a mainstream sentiment among us. Yes, the Malabar Muslim League may have supported the Lahore Resolution, and some even advocated a Moplahstan movement. But neither appears to have gained enough traction among Mappila Muslims to become a mainstream political aspiration. One reason, I’d argue, is that a separate Muslim homeland was never seen as a practically viable solution in Malabar. Nor was there a compelling, sustained desire among Malabar Muslims to separate themselves from the region’s Hindu communities.

Where’s the need to drag politics into devotional songs? What has Jantar Mantar got to do with Ram Bhakti? Did her husband’s party not used the Jantar Mantar in the past? How come religious people allow such songs?

People are shocked to find Mohammed Ali Jinnah displayed in Kerala. But I will show you all something. I’ve been seeing this place since my childhood, and it’s still here even today. This is a small junction in Palakkad, Kerala named Saddam Junction. Communal harmony works only to one particular section

For non-Muslims like us, azaan used to be an alarm clock. I used to wake up early every morning when azaan sounded over loudspeakers and head to the ground to play cricket with my friends. azaan is called five times a day, and each call lasts barely 30 seconds. Ban the use of loudspeakers for playing songs that last more than a minute, but allow them for sounds that last less than a minute.

Beef on the menu. Jinnah and Gandhi inside. What message is Kashi Hotel in Fort Kochi trying to send? Provocation or a calculated attempt to inflame tensions? Secularism is not a one-way street. Keralam cannot allow appeasement politics to normalise divisive symbols or radical agendas. To the IUML: Keralam is NOT Pakistan, nor will it ever be. Kerala will NOT surrender to radical extremists or fringe forces. Enough of double standards. 🇮🇳

#ExpressAdda | “In Kerala, (if) the Indian Union Muslim League is weakened, who will take their space? Extreme outfits…,” says Keralam CM V.D. Satheesan (@vdsatheesan). When asked if the UDF govt was coming under pressure from the IUML, listen in to what he had to say. Watch the full conversation on YouTube: youtube.com/watch?v=G_CeEJru…

A YouTuber has been booked in Kerala for filming Kashi Art Cafe in Fort Kochi, pointing out Jinnah’s portrait next to Gandhi and questioning why a place named after a Hindu holy city serves beef. Instead of any scrutiny of the cafe owner or the display of Pakistan’s founder, the complaint is against the person who highlighted it. Is revealing the picture now a crime? Indians should be asking harder questions. #KashiArtCafe #SaveKeralam

When Maulana Bhasani realized that partition was going to happen on demographic lines, he facilitated mass scale settlement of Bengali Muslims into Assam so that Assam would go to Pakistan. During Sylhet referendum, his Muslim league cadre blocked Hindus lest they wanted to vote.
Oh yea, how can we forget another hero of the leftist jihadis- Maulana Bhashani- who was the architect of what Lord Wavell called the 'Grow more Muslims' campaign in Assam. He campaigned heavily for inclusion of Assam within Pakistan, and even after formation of Bangladesh in

Onnu Pode. I myself have grown up in areas of Kochi when crackers used to be burst everytime Pakistan won a cricket match, randos would try to name roads Saddam Hussein nagar & idiots would casually praise Dawood’s ‘guts’ etc etc. So pls F off with these stupid POVs.
To all those making noise about Jinnah’s portrait in a cafe in Kerala, you’d be hard-pressed to find sympathisers of Jinnah’s political ideology among Kerala Muslims, unlike in parts of North India, where you might still come across a few. We’re historically quite disconnected from that political legacy. That said, Jinnah was the founder of a nation and commands respect in his own country. His portrait being displayed in Kerala says something about our society’s maturity and ability to accommodate different perspectives without overreacting. Proud to be a Malayali, and for good reason.

Filing a case against the YouTuber instead of the Fort Kochi café owner for displaying a Jinnah portrait and serving beef is not development. Just like claiming 100% literacy while failing to create local jobs and pushing people to migrate to other states and countries for work is not development either.
