There is nothing more inspiring than seeing women in our community take a chance on themselves.
Through our partnership with @GwGAfrica & @coursera, these women have spent the last month equipping themselves with new skills. We are so proud of them! 🧵👇

That uncomfortable feeling when you're learning something new is not a sign you're failing, it's proof you're growing.
The next time an opportunity feels too big, too challenging, or outside your comfort zone, remember, that's exactly where transformation happens.
Growth and comfort do not coexist. Choose growth.

#Roadtoempowering2000girlsinstem
We stepped out yesterday to kickoff the Lagos STEM-a-girl outreach.
Our first stop was Topflightcollege at Ifako, Gbagada. 🚀🚀
We spoke to over 100 girls and introduced them to STEM. It was an exciting moment for both the SCA team and the girls as we got to participate in different activities like ice breaker sessions, where the girls participated in quizzes and won amazing gifts and so much more!
We were also honoured to have a representative from MTN Nigeria, @maysummer_ speak with the girls. It was a fantastic session that reminded these young girls to dream big and achieve even bigger.
That's right! Our future neurosurgeons and civil engineers 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Stay tuned for the full highlight of our first stop for the #SCAStemAGirl Lagos Edition 💃💃

It's our Anniversary! 🥳💃
She Code Africa was founded to bridge the gender gap in tech and create a more inclusive future for women and girls. Our mission has always been to provide access to quality tech education, resources, scholarships, career opportunities, and a safe community platform, aiming to empower 100,000 African girls and women with digital skills by 2030.
Today, we celebrate a major milestone at She Code Africa, continuously driven by our belief that empowering African Women and Young girls through STEM is essential for Africa's economic growth and development.
We're proud of our progress so far and some of which include
- 30,000+ members across 20+ African countries
- 60,000+ girls and women empowered with job opportunities, internships, scholarships, and learning resources
- 7,000+ women trained on in-demand skills through our Academy program
- Annual She Code Africa Summit, bringing together 1,000+ women and girls in tech
All these have been possible through sponsorships, and partnerships with organizations who believe in She Code Africa’s Mission!
We are grateful for how far we have come, and we are determined to continue our efforts until every African Woman and Girl has access to the opportunities they need to develop sustainable skills and careers, enabling them to become changemakers.

- Go on LinkedIn, search for “I’m hiring for” or “we’re hiring for” and insert your desired role. It’ll pop up with a ton of posts from hiring managers & recruiters, Many you won’t likely see on job sections /platforms
- Have an editable version of your CV & cover letter easily accessible on web & mobile (preferably Google docs), to make quick adjustments where needed for each role
- Identify the keywords in each JD and adjust your skills & experience in your CV to fit it, helps move past the ATS phase of your application
- Show the impact of your work in your CV, eg number of users/beneficiaries/reach etc, valid data that helps quantify what you do
- Ask important questions in your interviews too, shows you know your onions eg “what does Success look like in this role”
- Understand that your chances of rejection are higher so apply for as many opportunities as you can to give you a better chance
