🍂 Kitty Gala is ready to lay down some roots. 🍂 This beautiful torti has been waiting 240 days (!!) for someone to choose her—and that’s far too long for a girl who deserves a place to call home. 💔 Kitty Gala knows what she likes and isn’t afraid to let you know! She prefers to be the one and only feline in the home and would be happiest in an adult-only home, or a quiet, low-energy home with young adults 16+. She may take a little time to show you her heart, but we believe there is so much more to Kitty Gala waiting to blossom with the right person, the right home, and a little patience. 🌸 This Thanksgiving, while we’re giving thanks for all we have, Kitty Gala is wishing for just one thing: a forever home where she can finally put down her paws and belong.🧡 Check out her profile! adopt.scarscare.ca/view-anim… Second Chance Animal Rescue Society - Alberta

Meet your enthusiastic, treat-loving companion named TWEED! 🐾 This affectionate pup enjoys touch and has lots of potential for learning thanks to their high food motivation. Easily excited and distracted, so they’ll benefit from training to help them settle and take treats gently. He is respectful of leash tension and can do well with other dogs when greetings are appropriate. No cats for me please! With patience, positive reinforcement, and enrichment, this pup is ready to blossom! Apply online at ScarsCare.ca

🐾 Vet Care Changes Everything—Help Us Keep Them Healthy 🐾 Every rescue update starts the same way: an animal shows up less than okay, and a team steps in to make it better. Right now, that “step in” depends on one thing: veterinary care . When we take in a new case, we immediately work through the essentials, exam fees, vaccinations, spay/neuter services, lab work, prescriptions, and urgent treatment when something’s seriously wrong . Vet bills don’t wait, and neither do the animals who rely on us. Your donation goes straight toward the appointments and treatments that help rescues from “barely hanging on” to “ready for a fresh start.” Think: pain relief, recovery care, and follow-up visits, so they can heal fully, get cleared for adoption, and finally enjoy the safety they’ve been missing. What your gift helps cover: Urgent checkups and diagnostics Vaccines and parasite treatment Spay/neuter to prevent future suffering Medications, follow-ups, and recovery supplies This isn’t about being dramatic, it’s about being prepared. A single vet bill can make the difference between one more day of suffering and one more chance at a real life. If you’re able, please consider donating today:👇🏼 give.scarscare.ca/give Thank you for helping us care—one treatment at a time. 💛

**Meet Rancher! 🐾** I am very shy at first, but once I’m comfortable, my goofy personality really starts to shine! I love getting the zoomies and showing off my silly side. I’m still building my social skills and confidence, so I’ll need a home that can provide structure, patience, and continued training to help me become the best version of myself! I would do best with someone able to be home often, and work on my crate training as I I have gotten a bit destructive once my sillies came out! I may do well with another dog, provided we have a slow, thoughtful introduction. With the right guidance and a little time to come out of my shell, I can’t wait to show you just how much fun I can be! Apply online ScarsCare.ca

🐾🎉 I’VE BEEN SPRUNG! I HIT THE JACKPOT! 🎉🐾 Oh, right… where are my manners?! My name is Luther! 💙 After spending many days in a rural pound, I’ve officially made my way into SCARS care, and let me tell you… life is looking pretty good! I’ve been dealing with some nasty infected ears, but these nice humans keep giving me hugs, treats, and putting some weird stuff in my ears. 🙄 I think they’re a little obsessed with me! But I have to admit, my ears are feeling better every day. I’m settling into my new life quite nicely! I get TWO square meals a day (BEST THING EVER!), I’m learning all about this leash business, and I’ve even shown everyone that I know how to sit like a good boy! 🐶 I get a little excited on walks, but can you blame me?! There’s a whole world out there waiting for me! I’ve also informed my new friends that I’d really like to go for some side-by-side rides. I’m pretty sure they’ll make that happen. 😉 For now, I’m soaking up all the love, enjoying my meals, and getting healthier every day. My SCARS family is still getting to know me, but one thing is already clear… I’ve got a whole lot of love to give! ❤️ Stay tuned for more adventures and updates from yours truly! 🐾 Love, Luther 💙 Located in Athabasca, Alberta Apply online at ScarsCare.ca

Hello I'm Ester, I'm about 2 years old and a lab mix. I am like most Labs very affectionate. I LOVE attention. I am good in a kennel at night and love going for walks and great on leash. So far I have not had a problem with other dogs. SCARS is not sure if I have met cats. I'm eager to find a home since all I really want is to be with people. If you are looking for a companion please apply on me.

Hello I'm Sasha, I got myself into a pickle and somehow got kicked by a buffalo. Sadly, my back leg was busted up and had to be ampuated. I'm a young girl and love people. My tail is always wagging. I'm a very nice girl. I am great on leash, house trained and don't seem to be bothered by other dogs. I am now ready to look for my forever home so if you think I would fit into your life please apply. Apply here: ScarsCare.ca Located in Athabasca

🐾❤️ Stevie’s Story Stevie was adopted through SCARS as a puppy into what was meant to be her forever home. For five years, she was part of a family who loved her. Unfortunately, her family eventually found themselves unable to afford the ongoing urinary treatments she needed, and Stevie was returned to SCARS. After her return, it was discovered that sweet Stevie had large bladder stones. Now, she is recovering with her foster family and is currently on crate rest while she heals. ❤️‍🩹 Although she's not exactly thrilled about having to stay in her crate, that hasn't dampened her loving spirit one bit! 🥰 Stevie is a sweet girl who is eagerly waiting for the day she can put crate rest behind her and get back to enjoying life. In the meantime, she's more than happy to shower her foster mom with kisses and greet her with a happy face every chance she gets. 💋🐶 Stevie has been through a lot of changes, but she still has so much love to give. For now, we're cheering her on as she rests, heals, and gets closer to brighter days ahead. Keep healing, sweet Stevie. You've got so many more kisses to give! ❤️🐾 rafflebox.ca/raffle/scars-ct…
