No coloured in-goals at the grand final. Last time the NRL did it was 2019. No team logos on the field either. Damn shame, it’s just a little touch but always added to the occasion.

One of the gutsiest losses ive seen in my life! To be 1 x 40m+ FG away from the comp is incredible!!! Newcastle should be that bloody proud... Chooks clinical and absolutely deserved though they nearly let it slip somehow... Bloody good GF!

The World Cup will die in Australia if it’s only on Prime. Every men’s World Cup from 1975 onwards has been massive. The one next year won’t be, unless something is done. Cricket Aus need to act: find a way to get the Aussie games on 7 or 9. You’ve got a whole year!

Very disappointing. Lacked a lot of composure through the middle 40 or so. Signs of a pretty young team especially when the veteran middles were off. But gee they should only get better and better! Learn a lot hopefully. Newcastle! Every bit of credit. Remarkable to be 1 away
